ard to believe that the 2009-2010 school year is almost over. The coordination and distribution of the high
school provincial, complementary and summer school exams kept the department very busy. A big thank
you to Mario Mazzarelli for his wonderful job. Nancy Battet and Julie Royal started a new LBPSB tradition of
honouring junior entrepreneurs by hosting a Board Entrepreneurship recognition event. The evening was
beautifully planned and the participants, along with their parents and guests, beamed with pride. We see
committed and responsible entrepreneurs in the horizon! We continued to develop the WOTP and, despite the
weather, had another successful track and field event at Riverdale. Thank you Peter! We are coordinating a Media
and Technology Council for High school teachers and worked closely with the K-4 teachers. In recognition of raising literacy and numeracy, new literacy and technology initiatives will be implemented at the preschool level.
Implementation and augmentation of French in the curriculum continued to be discussed resulting in new
resources and pedagogical development. I am sure you join me in recognizing and thanking our consultants for
their continued dedication and support for student learning and success. Have a safe and fun summer!
