The E n t e r p r i s e mine i s on t h e south s i d e of E n t e r p r i s e creek a t a p o i n t about 8 m i l e s from Slocan l a k e . The Ohio claim was owned and worked by Messrs. Kirkwood & Wells i n 1898. They a p p a r e n t l y acquired t h e Mabou claim i n about 1902 and development work was c a r r i e d o u t i n t e r m i t t e n t l y on both claims through 1904. The Mabou and Riverside claims were owned and worked by M r . R. Kirkwood i n 1905. The p r o p e r t y l a y i d l e u n t i l 1919 when Mr. Kirkwood and a s s o c i a t e s acquired t h e Mabou, Ohio, Empress Frac. & Summit Frac. claims and resumed development work. The workings a t t h i s time c o n s i s t e d of 3 a d i t s , 75, 50 and 1 5 f e e t long. I n 1946 t h e k b o u , Obio, and Neepawa claims were acquired by t h e Terley Mining, m l l i n g and Smelting Co. Six a d i t s on t h e Mabou and Ohio claims were cleaned o u t b u t a p p a r e n t l y very l i t t l e development work was done a t t h i s t i m e . OBJET LOCALISE at. La t. I n p l a c e s more b a s i c phases form i r r e g u l a r bodies of varying s i z e , most of which appear t o be e i t h e r d i g e s t e d i n c l u s i o n s o r d i f f e r e n t i a t e s of t h e g r a n i t i c . magma. The g r a n i t i c rocks a r e i n t e r s e c t e d by a few small, b a s i c dykes. The l o d e s a r e mineralized f i s s u r e s s t r i k i n g about: ~ 5 0 'and ~ dipping 60 t o 8 0 ' ~ ~ . These claims a r e a d j o i n i n g and t o t h e s o u t h of t h e Neepawa and E n t e r p r i s e p r o p e r t i e s . The main Ohio v e i n i s considered t o b e an extension of t h e Enterp r i s e v e i n . The Mabou v e i n a l s o continues on i n t o t h e Ohio claim.
