L’accent est mis sur le développement et l’utilisation de nouvelles méthodologies et techniques pour la synthèse de cibles à haute valeur ajoutée (molécules bioactives, additifs pour carburants, etc.). Plusieurs sujets multidisciplinaires sont envisageables pour un mémoire, et peuvent être adaptés en fonction des aspirations du candidat-chercheur: 1. Chimie organique de synthèse et chimie théorique 1.1 Ligation chimique native organocatalysée pour la synthèse d’oligopeptides Ce projet combine une approche expérimentale (synthèse d’organocatalyseurs, synthèse peptidique) et une approche théorique (modélisation des mécanismes réactionnels et relations entre structure et réactivité). Monbaliu (CiTOS) 1.2 Développement et application de groupements protecteurs photoclivables L’application de groupements photoclivables sera étudiée dans le cadre de la synthèse d’hétérocycles et de dérivés oligopeptidiques. Un projet en collaboration avec le Centre de Recherches du Cyclotron est également possible. Chimie organique de synthèse et microréacteurs 2.1 Développement de stratégies en flux continu pour la synthèse de composés pharmaceutiques Ce projet exploite les propriétés intrinsèques uniques des réacteurs fluidiques pour le télescopage de synthèses multi-étapes et la manufacture en continu. Monbaliu (CiTOS) 2.2 Développement de photoréacteurs fluidiques pour la détoxification d’effluents industriels et pour la synthèse de molécules à haute valeur ajoutée En collaboration avec le laboratoire de Génie chimique - Nanomatériaux, catalyse et électrochimie (B. Heinrichs). Ce projet implique le développement de nouvelles stratégies pour le coating de photocatalyseurs et le développement de photoréacteurs micro/millifluidiques pour des applications industrielles. Páez (Génie chimique) 2.3 Développement de nouvelles matrices catalytiques En collaboration avec le laboratoire de Génie chimique – Nanomatériaux, catalyse et électrochimie (N. Job). Ce projet consiste en le développement de nouveaux supports catalytiques et leur intégration dans des réacteurs continus pour la synthèse de molécules à haute valeur ajoutée. Chimie organique de synthèse et valorisation de la biomasse 3.1 Valorisation de la biomasse cellulosique En collaboration avec le CERTECH. Ce projet étudie la valorisation de molécules plateformes issues de la biomasse comme biocarburants ou additifs pour carburants potentiels, ainsi que pour la production de monomères et de solvants bio-sourcés. They encompass the development of new methodologies and the use of enabling technologies for the synthesis of high value organic targets, ranging from bioactive compounds to fuel additives. Various multidisciplinary research projects are available and can be tailored to the aspirations of each student: 1. Synthetic organic chemistry and theoretical chemistry 1.1 Organocatalyzed chemical native ligation for the synthesis of oligopeptides This project combines both an experimental approach (synthesis of organocatalysts and oligopeptides) and a theoretical approach (reaction mechanisms and structureactivity relationships). Monbaliu (CiTOS) 3.2 Development and application of photocleavable protecting groups This project involves the development of photocleavable molecules and their application in heterocyclic chemistry and oligopeptide synthesis. The latter is an ongoing collaboration with the Cyclotron Research Center. Synthetic organic chemistry and microreaction technology 2.1 Development of continuous-flow strategies for the continuous manufacturing of pharmaceutical intermediates This project exploits the exquisite control of reaction conditions and intrinsic properties of flow reactors for the telescoping of multistep reaction sequences and continuous manufacturing. Monbaliu (CiTOS) 2.2 Development of flow photoreactors for the photocatalytic detoxification of industrial effluents and for the synthesis of high value-added molecules In collaboration with the laboratory of Chemical Engineering - Nanomaterials, catalysis and electrochemistry (B. Heinrichs). This project involves the development of photocatalytic coatings and their integration into micro/millifluidic reactors for industrial applications. Páez (Chemical Engineering) 2.3 Development new catalytic matrices In collaboration with the laboratory of Chemical Engineering - Nanomaterials, catalysis and electrochemistry (N. Job). This project consists in the development of new catalytic matrices and their integration into continuous-flow reactors for the synthesis of high value-added molecules. Synthetic organic chemistry and valorization of biomass 3.1 Valorization of cellulosic biomass In collaboration with CERTECH. This project aims at the valorization of cellulosic biomass. Platform molecules derived from biomass will be transformed into potential biofuels, fuel additives, bio-based monomers and solvents.
