Artiste à l'imagination vive, le pianiste Antoine Bouvy est un explorateur des mondes sonores offerts par le clavier.
Formé dans la tradition et les influences de plusieurs écoles européennes, il débute à Paris l'étude du piano et du
clavecin. Remarqué par le pianiste tchèque Radoslav Kvapil, il part, sous ses conseils, poursuivre ses études
supérieures de piano à l’Académie de Musique de Riga (Lettonie) dans la classe de Teofils Bikis et Sergueï Osokin. Il se
perfectionne ensuite près de Lazar Berman, Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Igor Lazko et du Quatuor Talich.
Voyageur dans l'âme et dans sa profession, ses concerts le mènent dans la plupart des pays européens, et en Chine où
il rencontre un accueil particulièrement enthousiaste. Disposant d'un large répertoire de soliste et chambriste, il
donne depuis quelques années, une place privilégiée à la musique française - du répertoire baroque à la musique
contemporaine, proposant quelques merveilles rarement jouées en concert (Suites de Rameau, Concerto pour piano
de Poulenc, œuvres de Louis Aubert, Guy Ropartz, Emile Paladilhe, ou de compositeurs contemporains comme
Emmanuel Hieaux). Partenaire de musique de chambre estimé, il est régulièrement invité au côté d’artistes
internationalement reconnus, de solistes et musiciens d'ensembles prestigieux (orchestre de Paris, orchestre de
l'Opéra de Paris, du théâtre Mariinsky de Saint Petersbourg, de l'Opéra de Riga, du Kremerata Baltica (Gidon Kremer)
ou du chœur Accentus).
Antoine Bouvy assure actuellement la direction du Concours international de piano de la ville de Gagny en France et
des Master classes de piano à Daugavpils en Lettonie (préparation de jeunes pianistes à jouer avec orchestre). Invité
en France et à l'étranger pour des Master classes dans d'importants établissements (Université de Kunming, de
Chengdu, de Guiyang en Chine, CRR de Nice en France, plusieurs conservatoires en Lettonie et en Pologne), il aime
partager le plaisir de la découverte des œuvres avec de jeunes musiciens. Antoine Bouvy est aussi fréquemment
sollicité en tant que juré lors de concours internationaux.
En 2013, Antoine Bouvy est invité à prendre la direction artistique du Festival international de musique de Bailu, situé
dans la province du Sichuan (Chine). Cette opportunité lui permet de développer actuellement de plus importants
projets en Asie.

keyboard. Educated in the tradition and cultural diversity of various European schools, he started studying the piano
and the harpsichord in Paris. Noticed by the famous Czech pianist and teacher Radoslav Kvapil, he decides with his
recommendation, to proceed with his higher education with Teofils Bikis and Sergeï Osokin at the Riga Music Academy
in Latvia. He improved later on his knowledge with Lazar Berman, Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Igor Lazko and the Talich
quartet.
Traveller in soul as in his profession, his concerts will lead him in most European countries and China, where he will
receive a particularly warm welcoming. Having a large repertoire as a soloist and chamber musician, he gave the last
few years, a privileged place to the French music –from baroque to contemporary music, proposing some of very
rarely played pieces in concert (Suites by Rameau, Concerto for piano solo by Poulenc, works by Louis Aubert, Guy
Ropartz, Emile Paladilhe, or contemporary composers as Emmanuel Hieaux). Estimated chamber musician partner, he
is often invited to share the stage with internationally-renowned artists, or soloists and musicians from prestigious
ensembles (orchestra of Paris, orchestra from the Opera of Paris, from Mariinsky Theater in Saint Petersburg, from the
Opera in Riga, from Kremerata Baltica (Gidon Kremer) or the choir Accentus).
Antoine Bouvy is now responsible for the international piano competition “Town of Gagny” in France, and the Piano
Master classes in Daugavpils in Latvia (preparation with young pianists to play with a real orchestra). Invited in France
and abroad for Master classes in several important institutions (University of Kunming, Chengdu, Guiyang in China,
CRR de Nice in France, several music schools in Latvia and Poland), he likes sharing the pleasure of discovering the
musical works together with young musicians. Antoine Bouvy is also often asked as a juror at international
competitions.
In 2013, Antoine Bouvy was invited to become the artistic manager of the international festival of classical music in
Bailu, located in the province of Sichuan (Chine). This opportunity allows him to develop actually more important
projects in Asia.
