A.S.B.L. ECOLE ET SURDITE in Namur is looking for an
English Teacher for a bilingual training in Sign Language – French,
Secondary classes (lower and upper level)
For ongoing year 2015- 2016 and after
Qualifications
- Degree required by the Communauté française (or a foreign government body) to teach
English class (lower and upper secondary classes).
- Degree in Sign Language (UF12) issued by an institute of further education (promotion
sociale) or equivalent level (obtained or in process) or equivalent degree in BSL/ASL.
Desired candidate profile
- Very good knowledge and fluency in Sign Language
- High level of bilingualism Sign Language-French/Sign Language-English
- Ability to teach English to deaf students in regular secondary classes at the Sainte-Marie
school in Namur
- Collaboration with the Linguistic Research Department at the University of Namur.
