Silica, widely present in nature, is a staple ingredient of pharmaceutical, food/feed and personal care applications. Contrarily to various
natural material, it is not susceptible to bacterial proliferation ; contrarily to polymer and other petrol-based materials, it is environmentfriendly and recognized as a GRAS substance by the US Food and Drugs Administration. More so, silica-based products are likely to

SECTION 4 : Premiers soins - First aid measures
4.1. Inhalation excessive - Excessive inhalation : Placer la personne exposée à l'extérieur si possible ou dans une pièce dont
l'air est bien renouvelé et non contaminé. Garder la personne incommodée au repos et sous surveillance. Appeler un médecin
en cas de persistance ou d'aggravation des symptômes observés (nausée, migraine, malaise...). Move exposed person outside
if possible or in a place where the air is renewed and uncontaminated. Keep the bothered person in quiet under observation.
Call a doctor in case of persistence or worsening of symptoms observed (nausea, headache, faintness ...).
4.2. Contact cutané important - Significant skin contact : Enlever les vêtements contaminés, se laver à l'eau tiède et au savon,
remettre des vêtements propres. Si une irritation cutanée apparait et persiste, ou si l'on aperçoit une lésion cutanée
quelconque, consulter un médecin. Remove contaminated clothing, wash with warm water and soap, put on clean clothing. If
skin irritation occurs and persists, or if you can see any skin lesion, consult a doctor.

SECTION 6 : Mesure à prendre en cas de dispersion accidentelle - Accidental release measures
6.1. Protection individuelle, équipement de protection, mesures d'urgence - Personal precaution, protective equipment and
emergency procedures : Eloigner toute source potentielle d'inflammation. En cas de déversement majeur dans un local, aérer
le plus possible et éviter de rester dans le local contaminé. Pour toute intervention prolongée dans un local contaminé, porter
un masque respiratoire avec cartouche à charbon actif. En cas de manipulation de la substance déversée, porter les
équipements de protection individuel suivants : Appareil respiratoire autonome ou masque respiratoire avec cartouche à
charbon actif, lunettes de sécurité, gants et chaussures étanches et résistants aux produits chimiques. Remove all ignition
sources. In the event of a major spill in a local, ventilate as much as possible and avoid staying in the contaminated area. For
prolonged intervention in a contaminated local, wear a respiratory mask with charcoal cartridge. When handling of the spill,
wear the following personal protective equipment: self-contained breathing apparatus or respiratory mask with charcoal
cartridge, goggles, chemical resistant gloves and shoes.

déversement doit être contenu et absorbé avec des absorbants industriels (argiles, vermiculite, sciure ignifugée...) avant d'être
confié à une entreprise spécialisée dans l'élimination des matières dangereuses. Spills should be contained and absorbed with
industrial absorbent (clay, vermiculite, fireproof sawdust...) before being entrusted to a company specializing in the removal
of hazardous materials.
SECTION 7 : Manipulation et stockage - Handling and storage
7.1. Manipulation - Handling : Manipuler dans un local ventilé et frais, loin des sources d'ignition possibles. Manipuler avec
les équipements de protection individuels suivants : lunettes de sécurité, gants résistants aux produits chimiques et masque

7.2. Stockage - Storage : Stocker dans des contenants secs et propres, à l'abri de la lumière, de chaleur excessive et des écarts
importants de température. Veiller à bien stocker dans des contenants compatibles avec la substance et de dimensions
adaptées au volume entreposé, avec un bouchon hermétique. Store in clean, dry containers out of direct light, excessive heat
and large temperature variations. Be sure to store in containers compatible with the substance and dimensions adapted to the
stored volume with airtight cork.

8.1. Exposition et protection respiratoire - Exposure and respiratory protection : Si la substance est convenablement
manipulée dans un local bien ventilé, aucune protection respiratoire n'est nécessaire. Dans le cas contraire, il est souhaitable
