Semaine de prière pour l’unité chrétienne
du 18 au 25 janvier 2016
Ce dimanche 17 janvier, parmis les
signes symboliques de la prière pour
l’unité chrétienne, l’Abbé Noël va
rompre du pain rond; les paroissiens
qui le désirent pourront y communier.
Le dimanche 24 janvier, la paroisse Ste-Famille
invitera 2-3 personnes de différentes églises qui
participeront à la procession et à la sortie. Si vous
connaissez
des
chrétiens
protestants
ou
orthodoxes qui seraient intéressées à participer,
svp appelez le secrétariat.
Le jeudi 21 janvier de 19h à 20h30, vous êtes
invités à la Cathédrale St. Mary pour prier, avec
l’évpeque Henri et d’autres personnes du
clergé. Le thème de la liturgie : « Vous êtes le
peuple que Dieu a choisi pour annoncer les
grandes choses qu'il a faites. Il vous a appelés
à sortir de la nuit, pour vous conduire vers sa
lumière magnifique. » (1 Pierre. 2:9).
En communion de prière, vous êtes invités à
méditer et prier chaque jour à partir des
passages bibliques et des méditations
suggérés aux sites suivants:

Le Conseil Paroissial tient à vous annoncer que

d’accueillir une famille réfugiée
francophone. Le coût de ce projet est de plus de
35 000$. Si vous aimeriez être solidaires de
cette paroisse francophone, il y a, à l’entrée de

paroisse et plus particulièrement pour ce projet.

Série d’ateliers sur la Bible
Abbé John Kohler, prêtre du diocèse, dirige des
ateliers et enseigne aussi l’Hébreux ici à Calgary. Les
prochains ateliers sont de 19h à 21h le jeudi 21
janvier en l’Église Holy Trinity et le jeudi 28 janvier en
l’Église St. Joseph.

Un jour, quelqu'un vint voir Socrate et lui dit : Écoute, Socrate, il faut que je te raconte comment ton
ami s'est conduit.
- Arrête ! interrompit l'homme sage. As-tu passé ce
que tu as à me dire à travers les trois tamis ?
- Trois tamis ? dit l'autre, rempli d'étonnement.
- Oui, mon bon ami : trois tamis. Examinons si ce
que tu as à me dire peut passer par les trois tamis. Le
premier est celui de la vérité. As-tu contrôlé si tout ce
que tu veux me raconter est vrai ?
- Non, je l'ai entendu raconter et...
- Bien, bien. Mais assurément tu l'as fait passer à
travers le deuxième tamis. C'est celui de la bonté.
Est-ce que ce que tu veux me raconter, si ce n'est pas
tout à fait vrai, est au moins quelque chose de bon ?
Hésitant, l'autre répondit :
- Non, ce n'est pas quelque chose de bon, au
contraire...
- Hum ! dit le Sage, essayons de
nous servir du troisième tamis, et
voyons s'il est utile de me raconter
ce que tu as envie de me dire...
- Utile ? Pas précisément...
- Eh bien ! dit Socrate en souriant, si ce que tu as à
me dire n'est ni vrai, ni bon, ni utile, je préfère ne pas
le savoir, et quant à toi, je te conseille de l'oublier...

de main-d’œuvre francophone dans le domaine de

EXPERIENCING MERCY – SESSION I - Uniting the Extraordinary of Jubilee of Mercy
with the 50th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council, the Diocese of Calgary is
undertaking a thoughtful study of the principle teachings of Vatican II starting February
2016. Come to the 8 series of session & prayer to better appreciate the mercy God has
shown through the Council and how we can authentically live that mercy during this
jubilee year. Session I: “Why Ecumenical Council? Why the Second Vatican
Council?” will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2016 (2 – 5 pm) at Holy Name Parish
(2223 – 34th St. SW, Calgary) with speaker Dr. Agnes de Dreuzy. This will cover the history of what

When families lose a baby in the womb, the cries of birth go unheard. This profound loss needs articulation. Join
us in a prayer gathering to commend our children communally into the embrace of our merciful God and to
support those who are grieving the loss of a child. We invite those who are mourning a miscarried or stillborn

COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR - Feed the Hungry and the Diocese are pleased to once again be
