La plus belle journée de ma vie
Aujourd’hui, quand je me suis réveillé, j’ai réalisé soudain que
c’était la plus belle journée de ma vie ! Il y eut un temps où je me
demandais si j’allais vivre jusqu’à aujourd’hui ; mais je suis
encore vivant ! Et parce que je suis encore vivant, je fais la fête !
Aujourd’hui, je vais célébrer la vie incroyable que j’ai eue
jusqu’ici : les révélations, les nombreuses bénédictions et, oui,
même les épreuves, parce qu’elles m’ont rendu plus fort. Je vais
vivre cette journée la tête haute et le cœur joyeux. Je vais
m’émerveiller devant les cadeaux – apparemment simples – de
Dieu : la rosée du matin, le soleil, les nuages, les arbres, les
feuilles, les oiseaux. Aujourd’hui, aucune de ces créations
miraculeuses n’échappera à mon attention. Aujourd’hui, je vais
partager mon enthousiasme pour la vie avec d’autres
personnes. Je ferai sourire quelqu’un. Je m’arrêterai en chemin
pour accomplir un geste de bonté inattendu envers une personne
que je ne connais même pas. Aujourd’hui, je ferai un
compliment sincère à quelqu’un qui a l’air déprimé.
Je dirai à un enfant combien il est spécial et je dirai à une
personne que j’aime à quel point je suis profondément attaché à
elle, et combien elle est importante pour moi. Aujourd’hui, je
vais arrêter de m’inquiéter de ce que je n’ai pas et commencer à
être reconnaissant pour toutes les merveilleuses choses que Dieu
m’a déjà données. Je me souviendrai que m’inquiéter n’est
qu’une perte de temps, car ma foi en Dieu et sa divine Providence
m’assurent que tout ira pour le mieux. Et ce soir avant de me
coucher, je sortirai dehors et je lèverai les yeux vers le
firmament. Je m’émerveillerai devant la beauté de la lune et des
étoiles, et je louerai Dieu pour ces magnifiques trésors. Lorsque
cette journée s’achèvera et que je poserai ma tête sur l’oreiller, je
remercierai le Tout-Puissant pour la plus belle journée de ma vie.
Je dormirai du sommeil d’un enfant heureux, impatient d’arriver
au lendemain, parce que je sais que demain sera la plus belle
journée de ma vie !

Liturgy Office
The annual Mass of Chrism offers a special opportunity for musicians and choristers to share their
artistic gifts with the Diocese. The Diocesan Sacred Music Committee and Office of Liturgy invite all
singers to join the Chrism Mass Choir for 2011! The Chrism Mass will be held on Monday, April 18, at
7 PM at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Registration is required by all choristers before February 14, 2011. For

Social Justice
Social Justice and the Catholic Church: Have you ever thought about how to integrate gospel values in

International Development - The Archdiocese of Edmonton is hosting Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez, the
President of Caritas Internationalis, the international Catholic aid organization. Cardinal Rodriquez
was the Vatican’s spokesperson on the issue of Third World debt, is a strong defender of human rights,
and a powerful voice in the global fight against poverty. Cardinal Rodriquez and Leslie-Anne Knight,
the Secretary General of Caritas Internationalis, will be part of the “Nothing More Beautiful”

Life and Family Resource Centre
The Marriage Preparation “For Better and For Ever” program is available once a month. This program
is specifically designed for couples in one or more of the following special circumstances: living together
(cohabitation), previously married, beginning marriage with children, mature couples (50+), or those
married in a civil ceremony and wish to have their marriage blessed in the Church (convalidation). For
