ACTIVITÉS À MONTRÉAL ET EN RÉGION
Cette année, les thérapeutes par les arts du Québec se regroupent autour du thème « 60 ans de présence
professionnelle ». Ce thème évoque la présence indéfectible des thérapeutes par les arts au Québec. Depuis
près de 60 ans, les thérapeutes par les arts sont animés d’une passion artistique, clinique, scientifique révélant
un sens professionnel de qualité pour les populations qui ont recours à leurs services. L’Association des artthérapeutes du Québec (AATQ), l’Association québécoise de musicothérapie (AQM), l’Association des
thérapeutes par l’art dramatique (NADTA) et l’Association de thérapie par la danse et le mouvement
(ATDM) organisent plusieurs activités pour souligner la Semaine internationale des thérapies par les arts qui
se déroulera du 14 au 22 mars
2015. Il est à noter que certaines activités ont lieu au-delà de cette période.
MONTREAL AND REGIONAL ACTIVITIES
This year, Quebec art therapists are uniting under the theme of "60 years of professional presence." Through
this theme, we evoke the unswerving presence of art therapists in Quebec for over 60 years. The arts therapists
are animated by artistic, clinical, and scientific passion, showing a professional sense of quality for people who
use their services. The Association des art-thérapeutes du Québec (AATQ), Association québécoise de
musicothérapie (AQM), Drama Therapy Association (NADTA) and the Dance/Movement Therapy Association
(ATDM) are organizing this year’s trade show from March 14 to 22, 2015, to highlight international
Creative Arts Therapies Week. Certain activities take place beyond this period.

CONSENTIR AU MYSTÈRE DE L’IMAGINAIRE
Le dessin, le collage, l’écriture, le jeu et le mouvement permettent un contact direct avec l'inconscient
et déclenchent un profond processus de transformation. L'expérience de création et la symbolique de
nos images intimes peuvent nous livrer parfois des messages existentiels surprenants qu’il faut
consentir à accueillir. Cependant, il faut également consentir avec humilité au mystère de l’imaginaire
et apprendre à l’honorer, même lorsque le message existentiel prend du temps à germer. Les
participants seront invités à expérimenter des exercices art-thérapeutiques simples et signifiants et à
célébrer l’émergence d’une nouvelle conscience dans le cadre d’un rituel créatif printanier.

THE USE OF SINGING TO PROMOTE HEALTH AND WELL BEING FOR ADULTS WITH
HIGH FUNCTIONING AUTISM OR ASPERGER'S SYNDROME
Although previous research indicates that singing has positive health outcomes for the general
population, the relevance of these findings for many populations with complex needs has not been
explored. This research investigated the impact of a singing group on the health/well-being of adults
who have high functioning Autism/Asperger’s Syndrome. Origins of the project, the research process,
selected results, and implications of these results will be presented.

THE ART HIVES MOVEMENT: A NETWORK OF REGENERATIVE SITES OF INCLUSION
AND INNOVATION
The Art Hives initiative got underway in Quebec in 2010 thanks to the generous support of the JW
McConnell Family Foundation. This visual lecture will describe a developing national movement
(www.arthives.org ) with special emphasis on the historical underpinnings of what Belenky calls, “a
tradition without a name,” referring to women’s ways of knowing and the grass roots, place-based work
citizens have contributed which often escapes historical documentation.

Judith Koltai, BC DMT is a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapists. She is the founder of the
Masterclass in Embodied Practice® ,Syntonics® , and The Cassandra Project. She holds the Diplome
Techniques Corporelles Therese Bertherat and works as guest artist and movement coach at the
National Theatre School of Canada and as director of movement at the National Voice Intensive of
Canada as well as with individual artists and professional companies as coach and instructor. She is a
pioneer in the application of Authentic Movement to the creative/performing arts and specifically to
voice, text, writing, and the initiation of original work. Her articles on these subjects have been

EXPRESSING CREATIVITY THROUGH KUNDALINI YOGA AND ART
Come awaken your creativity through a unique combination of Kundalini yoga and art. Kundalini yoga
is an ancient healing system that incorporates body movements, breathing techniques, meditations, and
mantra to increase self-awareness, release stress patterns and enhance creative flow.
Making art after doing yoga deepens this practice, as the creative act comes from a place of deep
stillness and connection to the authentic self. Through creating a visual representation of the sensations
awakened through the yoga experience, a deeper understanding of body and mind processes can occur.
This workshop is for anyone interested in experiencing Kundalini yoga and art therapy in tandem.
Those new to yoga or art are welcome, as are accomplished yogis and artists-and everyone in between.
You do not need to be artistic. In fact, if you are looking for ways to stimulate your creativity, this
workshop is for you.

Watch a piece of theatre and be involved in a research study about your experience of witnessing this
performance.
Shea Wood is studying how performances based on lived experience can be used to support and
educate families. The performance piece will explore the lived experience of being the child of an
alcoholic and how having an alcoholic parent can affect families. The performance is based on Shea’s
mother’s story of living through this experience, and Shea will perform this family story in a onewoman show. The audience will then provide feedback through a questionnaire and a focus group
discussion.

Émission de radio - Radio Centre-Ville
Entrevue radiophonique qui se déroulera à 16h45 avec Sylvie Fusade. Elle répondra aux questions de
Marlène Rateau, animatrice de Radio Centre-Ville sur l'expérience d'art-thérapie studio mené à
l'orphelinat "Enfant Haïtien Mon Frère" à Port-Au-Prince en juillet-août 2014. Il s'agit d'évoquer la
mise en place et la tenue du projet d'ateliers libres et de suivis individuels auprès de jeunes de 2 à 20
ans. Le projet d'art-thérapie a touché environ une trentaine d'enfants et devrait se poursuivre à l'été
2015 sous une forme différente, notamment la création de marionnettes et l'écriture d'un spectacle avec
les enfants.

Cette conférence vise à outiller les étudiants en art-thérapie et les art-thérapeutes fraîchement diplômés
à propos de leur intégration sur le marché du travail. 4 invité(e)s arts-thérapeutes œuvrant dans divers
milieux (communautaire, pratique privée, milieu hospitalier et scolaire) viendront s'entretenir sur leur
expérience d'entrée sur le marché du travail.
This conference aims to provide some tips and advice to art therapy students and newly graduated art
therapists about how to enter the job market. Four art therapists guest working in diverse places

ENCOUNTERING DIFFERENCE THROUGH THE CREATIVE ARTS THERAPIES
How can the Creative Arts Therapies be used to explore difference, power, privilege and oppression in
clinical practice?
How can strong therapeutic alliances be built when clients and therapists have different world views,
life experiences, and experiences of belonging to majority social groups and minority social groups?
How can therapists ensure that racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, classcism, ableism and other
forms of discrimination do not remain as elephants in the room?
This workshop will introduce participants to different creative arts therapies exercises that they can use
to explore different social locators such as race, religion, social economic status, ability, age, gender,
sexual orientation, immigration status with one's clients in both group and individual settings. Clinical
case vignettes will be presented and the group will brainstorm together how different creative
arts therapies disciplines can address the problems presented in the vignettes.

THE BEADED PRAYER PROJET
Une sensibilisation à l'approche art-thérapeutique est proposée par le biais d'une activité de
ressourcement personnel, spirituel et/ou professionnel qui consiste à créer une "prière perlée." Cette
proposition est inspirée de l'expérience de l'artiste en art textile Sonya Clark. Le concept consiste à
créer de petits sacs avec à l'intérieur un souhait, un vœu, un rêve ...et à les orner de perles. Ce concept
singulier, à saveur artistique et thérapeutique, est lui-même inspiré de traditions ancestrales issues de
différentes cultures, africaines, brésiliennes, moyen-orientales, européennes. Premiers arrivés, premiers
servis.
“To better understand the approaches used in art therapy, we are proposing a personal, spiritual and/or
professional workshop in which to create a “beaded prayer.” This proposal is inspired by the
experiences of textile artist Sonya Clark. The concept includes creating a sealed beaded packet
containing the wishes, hopes and dreams of the participants…and to decorate them with pearls. This
unique concept, which is both artistic and therapeutic in nature, is inspired by ancestral traditions from

LES EFFETS THÉRAPEUTIQUES DE L’ART
Les sujets abordés porteront sur l'encouragement à la multidisciplinarité ainsi qu'à la prise de
conscience envers l'impact des différents médiums et leurs répercussions sur la santé mentale.
Cristina Primo Busatto a œuvré comme ingénieure durant une douzaine d’années au Brésil et au
Canada. Établie au Saguenay depuis 2002, elle a complété une maîtrise en administration des affaires
auprès de l’Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. Suite à un processus de réorientation de carrière, elle a
fait le choix d’étudier et de travailler en art-thérapie. Elle poursuit ses études à l’UQAT et aussi à
l’UQAC. Cristina est co-fondatrice de La Traversée : art et vie, un organisme à but non lucratif vouée
aux ateliers de groupe de soutien et support et à la promotion de l'art-thérapie.
Rappelons que Le centre d’artistes Le Lobe se développe principalement sur trois axes : la diffusion de
projets d’art actuel réalisés en résidence, la promotion des pratiques événementielles et le
développement du savoir. Les projets hybrides, novateurs, inclassables, casse-gueule et les démarches à
risque font sa marque. Le Lobe est situé à Chicoutimi et existe depuis 1993."
