These sessions will explore teachers’ understandings of
multi-literacies, visual literacy and the graphic novel as a
multimodal text. Furthermore, the history, elements, benefits,
misconceptions and use of graphic novels as a tool for
supporting multi-literacies in the curriculum will be examined.
