Security and Protection International Inc. (SPI), a federally incorporated Canadian company, is seeking
candidates who are available and willing to participate in the training in specific professional consulting
assignments in Canada and across the globe. We are seeking to hire on a contractual basis current
serving or retired Police officers who have experience both operational police experience and in the realm
of training and professional development of foreign Police Officers from different rank levels and
statute. We believe that retired police officers from your organization might be interested in an
opportunity to offer their experience and expertise and be remunerated accordingly for their skills.
Enclosed are two contractual opportunities which we would like to share with you in our efforts to recruit
current serving or retired police officers. The two opportunities differ in scope, in duration and in the
type of assignment. One opportunity involves the training of Police Executives while the other involves
the training of foreign Police Officers involved in VIP/Close-Protection of foreign dignitaries.

Close Protection, Investigation & Surveillance (French Text Follows)
Protection and Security International Inc. (SPI) is a Canadian company working in different areas of
private security and protection. SPI is looking for either current serving or retired police officers with
experience in either close protection details, investigations and surveillance (technical and mobile).
Close Protection - We are specifically looking for qualified and experienced officers who have experience
in providing close protection services (bodyguards) including: (a) in preventive and defensive driving; (b)
VIP events planning; (c) travel; (d) securing sites and routes; and (e) providing bodyguard and personal
security protection.
Investigations & Surveillance: We are also looking for experienced officers who have experience and
expertise in other areas such as: (a) general and major crimes investigations; (b) collection and analysis
of criminal & security intelligence; (c) undercover operations; (d) mobile and static surveillance; and (e)
counter-surveillance.
This opportunity involves the planning, preparation, course management and delivery of these specialized
skill sets in order to train foreign Police Officers in close protection services and in other areas which can
contribute to the successful planning and preparation of protection services and details. These
opportunities will be given to Police Officers in countries such as the Caribbean’s, South America and
Africa. We are looking for candidates who meet the following profile:

Current or retired Police Officers;
•
Good knowledge of French, bilingualism is an asset;
•
Experience in management of police activities and operations;
•
Ability to build programs that can be spread over a period of 2 to 5 years;
•
Autonomy, initiative and leadership; and
•
Operational experience with the UN and/or with major police events in Canada is an asset.
Successful applicants will be hired on a contractual basis for periods varying two (2) to six (6) months

Policiers et membres retraités de la Police ayant de l’expérience dans les domaines spécialisés tels que la

Garde rapproché : Nous recherchons des candidats qualifiés et expérimentés dans les domaines de la :

des pays situé aux Caraïbes, de l’Amérique du Sud et de l’Afrique. Nous recherchons des candidats
répondant au profil suivant :
 Policier actif ou retraité;
 Bonne connaissance du français, le bilinguisme est un atout;
 Expérience dans la gestion des activités et des opérations policières;
 Capacité de bâtir des programmes pouvant s’échelonner sur une période de 2 à 5 ans;
 Autonomie, initiative et leadership; et
 Expérience opérationnel est un atout, surtout avec l’ONU et dans l’ensemble du Canada.
Les candidats retenus seront embauchés de façon contractuelle sur une base de 6 mois renouvelable. La

offers various professional consulting services in protection and private security in Canada and in
countries around the globe. SPI is looking for either current serving or retired Police Executives
(Commissioned Officers) who have experience in providing training and professional development to
other Commissioned Officers and Police Executives.
In preparation for these contractual opportunities, we are seeking applicants who have previous
experience in training and professional development opportunities to senior officers of foreign National
Police Services in countries such as Maghreb and others in the African continent. These assignments will
include the planning, research and preparation of course material and lesson plans.
We are looking for candidates with the following profile:
•
Active or retired Police officers at the Commissioned Officer/Executive level;
•
Good understanding of the French language, bilingualism is an asset;
•
Experience in managing police services and its activities in areas such as police operations, major
events, human, financial and materiel resources, strategic planning, budgeting and financial
management, communications, leadership & management development, etc.;
•
Autonomy and leadership; and
•
University level education is an asset.
