About Me:
I am a freelance podcast producer, lively, full of ideas and energy, and a team player. I have extensive experience in radio producXon and presentaXon, working on both independent and group produced pieces. With specialism in New Media, MarkeXng and Technology, as well as specialist interest in Contemporary ChrisXan music. I have a clean, London accent, ready for serious news based work, or lively entertainment. I also have extensive knowledge in the producXon of online content for radio, video producXon (shooXng and ediXng digital media) and podcast producXon.
Work Experience:
Exodus Media, Producer, May 2008 ‐ Present
I set up Exodus Media to be the face of my work as a podcast producer. Since May I have taken on 3 conXnuing series for clients including London’s premier music venue ‐ KOKO in Camden (www.koko.uk.com) producing their podcast, which to date averages 10,000 downloads a fortnight, as well as a new series for the charity, The Prayer Book Society (www.pbs.org.uk), and recently producing events podcasts for PR agency AxiCom (www.axicom.com) .
Guest Lecturer ‐ Radio Produc7on, The University of Westminster, March 08 ‐ May 08.
The University of Westminster introduced the Internet Radio and PodcasXng Module in 2007. I was one of the first to take this module, and 1 year later aber taking it, I am now teaching it to both 1st and 2nd year students. This involves preparing template websites and podcasts for the students to work with, and develop their own shows and sites using Adobe Contribute, Photoshop and AudiXon, which I give tutorials on.
Interac7ve Producer, Unique The Produc7on Company, December 07 ‐ Feb 08
I recently have been working with Unique to develop interacXve content to accompany strands of programming for Radio 1 (The EssenXal mix ‐ see www.bbc.co.uk/radio1) as well as content for mulXple strands of programming for Smooth Radio, Century FM and Real Radio. This included developing idea’s, wriXng up proposals, creaXng mock ups of graphics and website layouts, and pitching these ideas to commissioning editors on behalf of Unique.
Producer/Presenter, Red Sky Vision; London ‐ May 2007 ‐ January 2008
As well as developing new ventures with Red Sky, I produced their podcast strand “Branded”, (www.redskyvision.com/branded), a 30 minute programme about the cugng edge in new media and markeXng. I presented, produced and edited the programme, as well as publishing it online.
