CONCEPT
Autonomous check-in of passengers
The global implementation of e-services has simplified passenger
check-in. Hold baggage check-in,however, remains a major constraint
for passengers, airlines and airports.
ALSTEF has designed BAG Xpress®, an automatic baggage drop off
machine based on a concept defined and patented by Aéroports de
Paris. The self-service machine meets the passengers expectations
of easy and fast baggage drop-off .
Self check-in and
tagging
To make baggage check-in faster and increase passenger flow, the
solution offered by ALSTEF is based on a 2-step process.

First step : passengers get their boarding pass and bag tags at the
«self-check-in and tagging» kiosk.
Second step : the passengers go to the fast drop off area.
At the kiosk :
- passenger check-in (if necessary)
- bag tag printing and labeling
(home tagging in the near future)
