Signposts in the villages will inform you of the local history and heritage. • The “Velo relax” circuit of 25 kms is partially signposted and takes you on small roads with gentle slopes. From the Manor of Briançon in Criel-sur-Mer, join the D16 which you will find behind the Church of SaintAubin and follow this route for 12 kms to Sept-Meules. In the hamlet of Val du Roy, Henri IV used to have a rest and take some refreshment in a big farm house during his journeys. The village owes its name to the 7 mills which used to rotate situated along the river Yères. Well-known by fishermen, it retains villas of the Belle Epoque from the beginning of the century. Discover the numerous ex-votos which cover the walls of the church Notre-Dame and bear witness of the pilgrimages following the Plague in 1636. You will also find a large fortified Castle door of the XIIth century. Saint-Martin-le-Gaillard The church is classified and its tower, with the shape of an axe, is unique and recognizable in the valley.
