rosé séduisant.
LE MILLÉSIME
Le millésime 2011 est un millésime de contraste. Printemps très chaud et sec, début juillet
pluvieux puis été indien jusqu'à fin octobre. Un tri très important, notamment après
égrappage a permis la réalisation d'un très beau millésime, notamment pour les cépages
tardifs.
DESCRIPTION
La Vieille Ferme rosé propose tout ce que l'on attend d'un très bon vin rosé. Du fruit, de la
fraîcheur et une belle couleur un peu soutenue. Idéal à l'apéritif ou à table avec les amis ...
SITUATION
Sur les pentes du Mont Ventoux, les vignobles bénéficient d'un climat plus frais qu'en plaine.
Les raisins y mûrissent plus lentement et conservent une meilleure acidité. Le vin qui en
résulte est gourmand, frais et équilibré.
TERROIR
Sédiments déposés par les mers de l'ère tertiaire à la base du massif calcaire du MontVentoux.
Sols rouges méditerranéens issus de calcaires durs du crétacé, des éboulis calcaires, des
alluvions anciennes à cailloux ronds.
ELABORATION
Vin élaboré par saignée, en cuve inox.
CÉPAGES
Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah
DÉGUSTATION
Aspect : Jolis reflets rouges/rosés.
Nez : Floral, touche d'anis, sucre brun.
Saveur : Riche, équilibré et frais. Arômes de fleurs blanches, de cerise, de bonbons au
caramel.
SERVICE
10-12°C dans des verres « tulipes ».
AVIS & RÉCOMPENSES
52°F – The nose showed pretty and bright but indistinct red fruit. The wine’s flavor
immediately triggered thoughts of bubble-gum; simplistic, the finish lingered with
watermelon candy such as Jolly Rancher. This is a lightweight wine, fairly soft with a touch
of pleasant acid through the short finish. It is a one-note wine, but charming and refreshing.
65°F – At the warmer temperature the wine’s bouquet was significantly more elaborate. The
wine shows still very clean and elegant but now with a more distinct strawberry character
along with floral and slight tobacco notes. In the mouth however, the wine is completely
different: much weightier with a distinct acid backbone. The favors are less fresh, more like

stewed tart fruit. The finish is clean with only slightly perfumed scents.

Medium + reddish pink. A subtle, full bodied rose, with good balance and floral,
plum-like aromas/flavors. Medium long finish. Grenache, Cinsault.

Jen's tasting notes: This deep pink rosé sports aromas of strawberries with a soft floral note
(maybe carnations). Flavors of ripe berries and cherries with a dry, mineral finish.
Would I drink this wine again? Yes, definitely.
Would I recommend this wine to a friend? Yes.
Should my readers try this wine? Absolutely! Deliciously dry and fruity at the same time.
