Le premier album de MIRAGE, il y a quatre ans, fut une jolie surprise : un groupe français reprenant le
nom d’un album de CAMEL, et prolongeant de manière convaincante le discours musical de son glorieux aîné.
Le groupe confirme avec « Tales From The Green Sofa », démonstration du talent et de la maturité de ces
musiciens. Si l’esprit du Camel de « Mirage » ou de « Moonmadness » est toujours miraculeusement restitué, le
groupe diversifie son inspiration et l’étend à tous les grands noms progressifs des années 70, Genesis en tête.
L’élégance et la fraîcheur des mélodies, la délicatesse de l’interprétation, la subtilité des arrangements, la qualité
de la production, un parfum jazzy ici et là, font tout le charme d’un album sans la moindre faute de goût. Un vrai
régal pour les amoureux des années 70 : un enchantement !

MIRAGE’s first album, four years ago, was a nice surprise : this french band’s name is inspired by
CAMEL’s album “Mirage”, and, listening to them, this is definitely not a coincidence! Their second album
shows, once again, how mature and clever these musicians are. Camel’s inspiration and identity (from the
“Mirage” to “Moonmadness” era) is still present behind the lines, with a touch of Genesis and other major bands
of the seventies. Melodies are full of freshness, elegant, refined, and enhanced by delicate arrangements, with a
subtle jazzy mood from time to time. Mostly instrumental, perfectly produced, this « Tales From The Green
Sofa » will be delightful for all seventies lovers. An enchantment !
