Thales Avionics S.A. is to relocate production of
equipment installed on Airbus airliners
Dear Customer,
The purpose of the Customer Information Letter (CIL) is to provide Customers with new delivery
conditions further to industrial transfers for production.
To reinforce its in-house industrial capacity, without increasing subcontracting, in early 2010 Thales
Avionics S.A. (TAV), a French company, decided to allocate the production of mature highthroughput products to Thales Solutions Asia Pte Ltd (TSA).
TSA is a subsidiary in which TAV has a majority holding, based in Singapore.
Within TSA, the Singapore Production Centre (SPC) missions is to manufacture and deliver to the
TAV Domains the avionics products transferred by the TAV Competence Centres:

Display equipment
The applicable EASA Part 21 production agreement and the relevant Production Organization
Exposition (POE) cover TAV Domains, Competence Centres, ASW Support Entity, as well as its
subsidiary TSA.
These transfers concern Part Numbers of SEC, FAC, FMGC, LCDU LRU and associated SRU
installed on Airbus airliners.
As a result of these transfers as of 15 February 2011, TSA will become the distribution center for the
equipment herein listed. As such Singapore site (TSA subsidiary), will deliver the concerned
equipment to the customer directly (direct shipment of parts).
Despite this production relocation, no change in the current ordering process is required. These
changes affect our production product line strictly and as a consequence the delivery conditions of
the concerned spare parts. Spare Parts will be delivered to customer FCA - free carrier Singapore
international airport as per the INCOTERMS of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
