CARE AND CLEANING
• Always leave the appliance to cool before cleaning and make sure that the
start/stop switch has been turned off and the coffee-maker unplugged from
the mains.
• Clean the filter holder, jug and jug lid in the warm soapy water. Rince well
and dry thoroughly before replacing.
• Clean the outside of the coffee-maker with a damp cloth. Do not use detergent
or abrasive cleaning products.
• Do not submerge the appliance in water or place under an open tap.

Decalcification
Depending on the hardness of the water in your area and the frequency of use,
the appliance’s tubes may become obstructed by lime.
To prevent this, you should decalcify your coffee-maker by either using a commercial
decalcifying agent specially designed for coffee-makers, or by following the
instructions given below :
1. Fill the jug with a 1/4 vinegar 3/4 water solution.
2. Pour the solution into the deposit and switch the coffee-maker on. Allow the
solution to drip down into the jug.
3. Repeat this process 2 or 3 times, depending on the extent of calcification.
4. After the lime has been removed, run an empty filtering process (with water
but no coffee) 2 or 3 times to remove any remains of the water/vinegar solution.
We recommend that you decalcify your coffee-maker once every 4 weeks.

Making coffee
• Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable surface.
• Open the deposit lid and fill it with cold water to the required level. Do not
exceed the indicated maximum level mark.
• Fill the filter with the required quantity of ground coffee and close the lid.
• Make sure the lid of the jug is properly fitted, and place the jug on the heater
plate. Ensure that the jug lid opens the anti-drip value, otherwise, the filtered
coffee will overflow from the filter.
• Plug the appliance into the mains and press the on/off switch. The switch pilot
light will indicate that the aplliance is on.
• When the filtering process is completed, the heater plate will keep the coffee
warm.
• If you whish to pour a cup of coffee before the filtering process has finished,
remove the jug from the heater plate, pour and then replace immediately.
• When the jug is empty, turn the start/stop switch/off (the pilot light will go
out), unplug the appliance leave to cool for 10 minutes before repeating the
coffee-making operation or cleaning.
Precautions
• To prevent the water in the filter from overflowing, the jug lid should be
correctely fitted in order to ensure that the anti-drip value is opened, enabling
the water to pass through to the jug.
• Do not move the coffee-maker while in use.
• Make sure that the equivalent of at least two cups of coffee has filtered into
the jug before removing during the filtering process.
Warning
Replace the jug immediately after pouring the cup of coffee.
The coffee-maker is supplied with a permanent filter, however, if you prefer
disposable filters, use cone filters.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND SKETCH
Placer la verseuse dotée de son couvercle sur la plaque chauffante en
s’assurant que le couvercle ouvre le clapet de buse pour éviter que le café
ne déborde.
Brancher l’appareil au réseau et appuyer sur l’interrupteur lumineux marche/
arrêt. La lumière de l’interrupteur indique que l’appareil est en fonctionnement.
Pour servir une tasse de café avant la fin du processus d’élaboration,
retirer la verseuse de la plaque chauffante. Une fois la tasse servie, remettre
la verseuse immédiatement sur la plaque.
Une fois la verseuse vide, appuyer sur l’interrupteur et débrancher
l’appareil du réseau. Attendre 10 minutes environ avant de nettoyer l’appareil.

Précautions
•
Pour que l’eau tombante dans le filtre ne déborde pas, le couvercle de la
verseuse doit être correctement mis en place. Ainsi, le clapet de buse restera
ouvert pour permettre à l’eau de passer à la verseuse.
• Ne pas déplacer la cafetière au cours d’utilisation.
• La verseuse doit être mise en place immédiatement après avoir servi le café.
NB: Il est possible d’utiliser des filtres jetables disponibles sur le marché au lieu
du filtre permanent.
CONSEILS D’ENTRETIEN
Avant nettoyage de l’appareil:
1. Débrancher la prise de courant.
2. Attendre que l’appareil refroidisse.
3. Nettoyer le porte filtre, le couvercle verseuse, le filtre permanent, et la verseuse
à l’eau savonneuse tiède ; rincer, sécher et remonter l’ensemble des éléments
de l’appareil.
4. Nettoyer l’extérieur de la cafetière à l’aide d’un chiffon humide.
Pour un détartrage, soit :
* Utiliser des produits détartrants spécifiques pour cafetières.
* Utiliser du vinaigre.
1. Remplir la verseuse d’une dose de vinaigre et de 3 doses d’eau.
2. Verser le mélange d’eau et de vinaigre dans le réservoir. Mettre la cafetière
en marche et attendre que toute la solution ait passé à la verseuse.
3. Répéter cette opération 2 ou 3 fois selon le degré de tartre.
4. Faire fonctionner l’appareil 2 ou 3 fois avec de l’eau seulement.
NB: Il est conseillé de détartrer la cafetière 1 fois par mois.

HOW TO USE …
Before using for the first time:
1. Remove the filter-holder and the jug lid.
2. Clean along with the jug itself and the permanent filter in warm soapy water.
Dry thoroughtly and replace, fitting the filter holder into its place and the lid
onto the jug.
3. Run a coffee-making cycle twice without adding ground coffee to the filter.
Pour éviter de casser la verseuse :
Ne pas laisser tout le liquide s‘év aporer.
Ne pas chauffer la verseuse à vide.
Ne pas utiliser une verseuse cassée ou dont la poignée prend du jeu.
Ne pas nettoyer la verseuse avec une éponge abrasive ou produits qui peuvent
rayer ou fragiliser le verre.
• Ne pas poser la verseuse sur une surface chaude, mouillée ou froide.
• Eviter la manipulation brutale et les chocs.
CONSEILS DE MISE EN MARCHE ET D’UTILISATION
Avant d’utiliser la cafetière pour la 1ère fois,

Placer la cafetière sur une surface plane et stable.
Ouvrir le couvercle du réservoir et le remplir d’eau froide jusqu’au niveau
souhaité sans dépasser le niveau maximum.
Remplir le filtre de la quantité de café moulu désirée.
