Note by the Secretary-General

The Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, at its second session, held in
Geneva from 8 to 25 February 1988, requested the secretariat to prepare a bibliography of
published material relating to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural
Rights and the work of the Committee (report of the Committee on its second session
(E/1988/14), para. 372).
2.
The present document contains an update of the selected bibliography of published
material relating to economic, social and cultural rights prepared by the secretariat pursuant to
the request made by the Committee at its second session. For ease of reference, the
bibliography has been compiled under several headings, as reflected in the attached table of
contents.
