DESCRIPTION
CHEMDUR FLEX is a liquid solventless, elastomeric membrane based on a two-component
polyurethane/epoxy copolymer. The membrane cures by polymerization at ambient temperature.
CHEMDUR FLEX liquid membrane combines the outstanding and complementary properties of its constituent
polymers: elasticity of the polyurethane combined with adhesion and toughness of the epoxy.
COLORS
Grey or black.
ADVANTAGES
Free from volatile, flammable solvents.
Continuous waterproof bond on application to various substrates.
Permanent elasticity: unaffected by aging, allowing it to bridge over small cracks.
Lends itself to overlaying with a variety of decorative architectural finishes and wear courses
for vehicular traffic.
Easily repairable.
Complies with voc regulations across North America.
Can contribute to LEED points.
USES
CHEMDUR FLEX is designed to waterproof parking decks, floors, walls, bridge decks, terraces, planters,
pools,etc., which are not subjected to hydrostatic pressure.
Used between concrete slabs, under Chemdur special floor or wall finishes, ceramic tile, stone slabs, etc.
LIMITATIONS
CHEMDUR FLEX should be protected by a finish coating. Substrates should be sound, clean and dry, at a
temperature above 10ºC.
NOTE: Lower temperatures delay whereas higher ones accelerate curing time.

SURFACE PREPARATION
NOTE: CONCRETE FLOOR LEVELING:
Use of CHEMDUR PATCH self-levelling epoxy grout or polymer modified cement is recommended.
For construction joints and cracks use CHEMDUR JOINT FILLER.

should not exceed 4.5%.

Surface must be sound, clean, dry, free from any contaminant such as grease, oil, laitance, concrete curing
membrane, paint, sealer, etc.
APPLICATION
Apply with roller or notched squeegee.
Stir separately Parts A & B prior to proportioning them.
Under agitation, add Part B (hardener) to Part A (resin) in the ratio indicated on the package.
Apply to the specified film thickness.
For interior applications, at normal temperatures of 15-23°C., allow membrane to cure a maximum of 24 hours
before applying the wear course. At higher temperatures and for exterior applications, apply the wear course as
soon as the membrane becomes tack free.
Longer curing times of the membrane could impair the adhesion of the wear course. If recommended curing
times or temperatures are exceeded, it will be necessary to depolish the surface by scuff-sanding. In case of
cementitious overlays, allow 72 hours prior curing.
SAFETY
Skin contact can cause dermatitis.
Wear gloves and goggles.
Wash with soapy water.
Do not inhale vapors.
Use with adequate ventilation.
If irritation persists, get immediate medical attention.
