Job Description
Business Development Advisor (BDM) - Mortgage brokerage – 1608288
Desjardins Group is the largest cooperative financial group in Canada, and

services for businesses of all sizes, securities brokerage, asset

The incumbent develops the business relationship with the Desjardins
network. In partnership with managers, he or she establishes development
strategies to enhance business development and maintenance.
Specifically, the person in this position will be working in a context where
the organization is implementing a sector responsible for ensuring the
development of mortgage brokerage business following Desjardins
decision to use this channel to complement the Desjardins caisses and
representatives channels. The incumbent will work in the booming Ontario
territory, specifically in the Greater Ottawa Area.
Main responsibilities





Develop and maintain a business relationship with members and
clients for whom the product offering is intended.
Establish and implement development strategies to increase sales.
Coordinate activities related to the business plan and act as sector
sponsor for assigned clients.
Increase expertise and motivate staff to offer Desjardins products.
Guide, support and mobilize stakeholders in pursuit of objectives
established based on the unique situation of the market served.
Qualifications















Bachelor's degree in business administration
2 years of relevant experience
In-depth knowledge of mortgage agency and broker environments to
boost mortgage brokerage business development in areas where
Desjardins is less present
In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards (CAAMP)
Strong knowledge of mortgage brokerage market strategies and
issues in Greater Ottawa Area
Knowledge of mortgage credit
Knowledge of the caisse network and Desjardins products and
services (an asset)
Proficient speaker, complete proficiency in English
