TRIBUTE TO AMINA RACHID
Amina Rachid was born in Rabat and started out acting on the stage and in
radio plays. She has played over fifty roles in theatrical productions
performed in Morocco and abroad, and has participated in over 3,000 radio
dramas. Her contribution to the cinema has also been major; we’ve seen her
in films such as Nabyl Lahlou’s Ibrahim Yach, Cairo Street by Abdelkrim
Derkaoui, Women’s Wiles by Farida Benlyazid and Abdelmajid Rchich’s The
Life a Rose. She’s worked twice with Mohamed Abderrahmane Tazi in
Looking for my Wife’s Husband (one of Morocco’s biggest hits) and its
sequel Lalla Hobbi, the most notable and popular and popular role of her
career. Hakim Noury has cast her in the Dream Thief and A Woman’s Fate,
as well as she is Diabetic and Hypertensive and she refuses to die. She’s also
a leading actress on the small screen with over 600 appearances in televised
films, dramatic productions and programmes. A first-rate actress, Amina
Rachid is a grande dame of Moroccan Cinema.
