> Introduction
A large cost effective potential for energy savings in public buildings and
public lighting could be easily achievable, if proper policies were
implemented. In addition to a strong political will and the availability of the
personal means it is necessary to improve within the local authorities the
energy management and study the possibilities to use energy efficiency
services for mobilising the identified saving potentials. An important
aspect for municipalities is the possible financing schemes, which do not
impact the public investment budget.
This seminar underlines the positive framework conditions and presents
concrete examples to be implemented by local authorities setting the
accent on energy efficiency services. More information about this can be
found on www.pubenefs.org, presenting also the results of the
european project PU-BENEFS.
Un important potentiel d’économie d’énergie dans les bâtiments et
l’éclairage public pourrait facilement être valorisé si les bonnes politiques
étaient mises en œuvre. Outre une volonté politique forte et la disponibilité des moyens humains, il est nécessaire d’améliorer la gestion de
l’énergie dans les collectivités locales et d’étudier la possibilité d’utiliser
les services d’efficacité d’énergétique afin de mobiliser les potentiels
d’économie identifiés. Un aspect important pour les municipalités est le
montage financier, qui ne doit pas gréver le budget public d’investissement.
Ce séminaire souligne les conditions cadres favorables et présente des
exemples concrets mis en œuvre par les collectivités locales qui mettent
l’accent sur les services d’efficacité énergétique. Plus d’informations sont
