Subject: Green Energy Committee.
Green Energy Committee Members.
The Town of Yarmouth has approved the formation of a Green Energy Committee to be made up of
members of the Town Council, Municipality of Yarmouth, Argyle and Acadia First Nations.
The purpose of this committee is to explore the opportunities within Nova Scotia's Green Energy Plan and
the COM-FIT program.
Currently:
a. The Municipality of Argyle has already agreed to participate and has appointed Guy Surette, councillor for
District #4 and Alain Musie CAO
for the MOA as representatives.
b.The Town of Yarmouth has agreed to appoint Councillor Neil MacKenzie and Councillor Esther Dares.
c. The CAO and CFO for the Town of Yarmouth have also agreed to participate.
d. The Municipality of Yarmouth has not confirmed their participation in the committee as of yet but has been
asked to participate.
e. Acadia First Nation has not received a letter requesting that they participate but I have contacted Melanie
Robinson and verbally requested that Acadia First Nation participate she has confirmed
interest.

I recently attended the Harvest the Wind Conference in Port Hawksbury in which I heard from many
municipalities and developers of wind projects. The COM-FIT program is
a great opportunity for our community and we need to take advantage of it.
We need to have an initial meeting and start moving forward.
I am requesting that we have a meeting on one of the following days.
Please select the day you are available and delete the others. We'll pick the day that
results in the best attendance. If you can't make any dates please provide a time available.
Town Hall for the first meeting.

Tuesday May 8th 7:30pm Wednesday May 9th 4:30pm
