Le paysage est un terme fédérateur qui a permis d’élaborer deux projets en étroite relation autour d'un travail de
recherche interdisciplinaire.
Landscape : workshop sur l’île d’Ouessant sur la polysémie
du concept de paysage et les territoires anthropisés (artificialisés). Les étudiants de l’EESAB et de l’université de Rennes
2 ont confronté leur vision respective du paysage. L’échange
entre l’art et la science a fait émerger une exposition scindée
en deux volets : « Naturalité / Artificialité » et « Horizon rationnel / Horizon sensible » et une publication scientifique dans la
revue www.espacestemps.net
Transmanche : deux concours photos et deux expositions
menés par l’UCA et l’EESAB. Le premier concours avait pour
ambition de transcrire le paysage socio-économique de la ville
de Medway, près de Rochester. L’objet du deuxième concours
était de retranscrire l'espace-temps d'un voyage transmanche.
Chaque étudiant a choisi sa liaison maritime pour rendre tangible deux cultures, deux traditions, deux univers à travers les
paysages, les villes et les portraits.

The word ‘landscape’ makes for a good rallying point, and
as such it formed the focus of two closely-linked projects based
on interdisciplinary research.
Landscape : workshop on the island of Ouessant focused
on the multiple meanings of the concept of “landscape” and
anthropized territories (i.e. with a degree of artificiality).
Students from EESAB and Rennes 2 University compared and
contrasted their respective views of landscape. This dialogue
between art and science resulted in an exhibition broken down
into two parts: “Natural / Artificial” and “Rational Horizon / Sensory
Horizon”, as well as a scientific publication www.espacestemps.net
Cross-Channel : two photography contests and two exhibitions organized by UCA and EESAB. The aim of the first contest
was to depict the socio-economic landscape of the Medway
towns around Rochester, while the second one invited contestants to depict space and time on a cross-channel journey.
Students chose how they made this journey to encapsulate two
cultures, two traditions and indeed two worlds, through the
lens of landscapes, conurbations and portraits.
