Nominations pastorales des prêtres / Pastoral Appointments of Priests
Par décision de Mgr Marcel Damphousse, Évêque d’Alexandria-Cornwall, voici les
nominations pastorales des prêtres pour l’année en cours. Celles-ci entreront en vigueur
le 30 juin 2014, sauf si entendu autrement avec les personnes concernées.
By decision of Bishop Marcel Damphousse, the following are the pastoral appointments of
priests for the Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall. Unless otherwise agreed upon, these
appointments will be effective June 30th 2014.
1.
P. Cyriaque BALLA, actuellement curé de St-Martin-de-Tours (Glen Robertson) et StAlexandre (Lochiel) est nommé adjoint aux paroisses St-Félix-de-Valois, La Nativité et
Ste-Croix.
Fr. Cyriaque BALLA, presently pastor of St. Martin of Tours (Glen Robertson) and St.
Alexander (Lochiel), is appointed assistant-pastor of the parishes of St. Félix-de-Valois,
La Nativité and Ste-Croix.

P. Matthew BRUNET, actuellement curé des paroisses Our Lady of Grace/St. Pius
X et St. Bernard est nommé curé de la paroisse St. Peter.
Fr. Matthew BRUNET, presently pastor of Our Lady of Grace/St. Pius X and St.
Bernard parishes is appointed pastor of the parish of St. Peter’s.

P. Jacques LABELLE, actuellement curé des paroisses Précieux-Sang (Glen Walter) et
St-Joseph (Lancaster), est nommé curé de la paroisse Blessed Sacrament.
Fr. Jacques LABELLE, presently pastor of Precious-Blood (Glen Walter) and St.
Joseph (Lancaster) parishes, is appointed pastor of the parish of Blessed Sacrament.

P. Kevin MALONEY actuellement curé de la paroisse St. Peter, est nommé curé de la
paroisse St. Francis de Sales.
Fr. Kevin MALONEY presently pastor of St. Peter parish is appointed pastor of the
parish of St. Francis de Sales.

P. Jean MUAKADI demeure curé de la paroisse St Félix-de-Valois et est nommé aussi
curé des paroisses La Nativité et Ste-Croix.
Fr. Jean MUAKADI remains pastor of St.Félix-de-Valois and in addition is appointed
pastor of the parishes of La Nativité and Ste-Croix.

P. Jerome PASTORES, actuellement administrateur paroissial de la paroisse St. Francis
de Sales, est nommé administrateur paroissial de la paroisse St. Columban.
Fr. Jerome PASTORES, presently parochial administrator of St. Francis de Sales, is
appointed parochial administrator of the parish of St. Columban.

P. Marc PICHÉ, actuellement curé de la paroisse Ste-Thérèse-de-Lisieux est nommé
curé des paroisses Précieux-Sang (Glen Walter) et St-Joseph (Lancaster).
Fr. Marc PICHÉ, presently pastor of Ste-Thérèse-de-Lisieux, is appointed pastor of the
parishes of Precious-Blood (Glen Walter) and St-Joseph (Lancaster).

P. Claude THIBAULT actuellement curé de la paroisse Blessed Sacrement est nommé
curé de la paroisse Ste-Thérèse-de-Lisieux.
Fr. Claude THIBAULT presently pastor of Blessed Sacrement parish is appointed
pastor of the parish of Ste-Thérèse-de-Lisieux.

P. Daniel VAN DELST, actuellement curé de la paroisse St. Columban prendra une
année sabbatique pour fin d’études.
Fr. Daniel VAN DELST, presently pastor of St. Columban’s parish will take a
sabbatical year in order to pursue his studies.

P. Cyprian IHEDORO (s.m.m.m.) est nommé administrateur paroissial des paroisses
Our Lady of Grace/St. Pius X (Ingleside/Long Sault) et St. Bernard (Finch). Cette
nomination prendra effet à compté du 18 octobre 2014. Entre temps, le Père Chukwu
Polycarp Chukwudi (smmm) est nommé administrateur paroissial de ces paroisses.
Fr. Cyprian IHEDORO (s.m.m.m.), is appointed parochial administrator of the
parishes of Our Lady of Grace/St. Pius X (Ingleside/Long Sault) and St. Bernard’s
(Finch). This appointment is effective October 18, 2014. Until then, Fr. Chukwu
Polycarp Chukwudi (s.m.m.m.) is appointed parochial administrator of these parishes.
La nomination pour l’Église Saint-Martin-de-Tour à Glen Robertson est encore à venir.
The nomination for Saint-Martin-de-Tour in Glen Robertson is pending.
La paroisse de Saint Alexandre à Lochiel sera fermée à la suite de la messe du 1er Juin 2014.
The parish of Saint Alexandre in Lochiel will be closed following the Mass on June 1, 2014.
Mgr Marcel profite de l’occasion pour remercier les prêtres et les diacres permanents pour leur
générosité pastorale et leur disponibilité bienveillante au service de l’Église particulière
d’Alexandria-Cornwall.
Cette année, Mgr Damphousse désire exprimer sa vive gratitude aux prêtres qui se retirent du
ministère paroissial régulier:

à Mgr Réjean Lebrun, pour ses 52 années de services pastoraux dans le diocèse. Au
cours de ses années, Mgr Lebrun s’est dévoué comme vicaire, curé, doyen et plus
encore. En ces dernières années, il était curé de la Paroisse Ste-Croix et membre du
conseil presbytéral.

Au Père Laurier Rivet, pour ses 44 années de services pastoraux dans le diocèse,
particulièrement comme vicaire, curé et doyen et surtout pour ses dernières années
comme curé de la Co-Cathédrale La Nativité.
Mgr Marcel voudrait en plus remercier bien sincèrement le Père Kelvin Maloney, v.g., qui,
bien qu’ayant soumis sa lettre de résignation selon les normes du droit canonique pour les
prêtres âgés de 75 ans, offre de continuer ses services comme curé de la Cathédrale et de SteCatherine of Sienna (Greenfield) et comme vicaire général, en autant que sa santé le lui
permette.

for their generosity in accomplishing their pastoral work in our particular Church of
Alexandria-Cornwall.
This year, He wishes to express his sincere gratitude to:

Msgr Réjean Lebrun for his 52 years of pastoral ministry in the Diocese. During
his 52 years, Msgr Lebrun has devoted himself as assistant pastor, pastor, dean and
more. A very special thanks for his years of service as pastor of Ste-Croix’s parish
and for serving on the Presbyteral Council.

Father Laurier Rivet for his 44 years of pastoral ministry in the Diocese. During his
44 years, he served as assistant pastor, pastor and dean. A very special thanks for
his years of service as pastor of the Co-Cathedral of La Nativité.
Further, Bishop Marcel would like to thank Fr Kelvin Maloney, v.g., who, although, being 75
years old, and having submitted his letter of resignation pursuant to Canon Law, has offered to
continue as pastor of St. Finnan Cathedral and the parish of St. Catherine of Sienna
(Greenfield) and as Vicar General, so long as his health allows.
