Cuvée « Coup de Foudre » Terroir: The vineyard is located in the municipalities of Festigny and Le Breuil. Soil: A silty, clay limestone, characteristic of the Marne valley. Exposure: South / South West Vines: The average age of the plots is 36 years. Our working methods are « alternative » but without any certification, we work in accordance with the lunar calendar (see our website for explanation). Harvest: Manually harvested in 2006 with careful monitoring and control of grape maturity. We use two pneumatic presses, 2000 and 4000 kgs capacity. Vinification: In stainless steel or enamelled steel tanks. Bottled in 2011 (the date chosen according to the lunar calendar), with careful monitoring of the second fermentation. Aged for 1 year in new oak barrels. Average « in bottle » aging : 48 months, disgorged on a favourable date according to the lunar calendar and this indicated on the label. Composition: 33% Pinot Meunier, 33% Pinot Noir, 33% Chardonnay Sugar Dosage – Formats : Brut Nature : Brut : 0 g/l 6 g/l 75cl 75cl Tasting Notes: A structure wine, delicate, yet wrapped up with a certain power, a well-balanced champagne with pleasant hints of dried fruit mixed with notes of vanilla, smoky and spicy flavours.
