Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Proper use
Das Produkt ist zum Anschluss an einen USB-Port eines Computers vorgesehen und
dient dort zur drahtlosen Verbindung (IR/Infrarot) zu dazu geeigneten Geräten (z.B.
Mobiltelefon/Handy).
This product is intended for connection to an USB port on a computer and provides
wireless connection (IR/infrared) to suitable devices (e.g. mobile phones).

Treiber-Installation
Installieren Sie zuerst den Treiber, wie nachfolgend beschrieben.
Erst danach darf der USB-IR-Adapter angesteckt werden.
• Legen Sie die mitgelieferte CD in das entsprechende Laufwerk Ihres PCs ein.
• Wechseln Sie auf der CD ins Verzeichnis "MosChip" und dort ins Verzeichnis
"MCS7780" (evtl. können sich diese Verzeichnisnamen bei neueren Versionen der
Treiber-CD ändern).
Starten Sie das Programm "Setup.exe" und folgen Sie allen Anweisungen.
• Entnehmen Sie dann die Treiber-CD aus dem Laufwerk Ihres PCs.
Anschluss
Installieren Sie zuerst den Treiber, wie oben beschrieben.
• Verbinden Sie den USB-IR-Adapter mit einem freien USB-Port Ihres PCs. Windows
erkennt den USB-IR-Adapter und installiert weitere Systembestandteile. Folgen
Sie allen Anweisungen
• Danach ist möglicherweise ein Neustart erforderlich, damit der USB-IR-Adapter
einwandfrei funktioniert.
Tipps & Hinweise
• Die IR-LED des USB-IR-Adapters sollte direkt auf das Gegenstück in dem von
Ihnen verwendeten Gerät (z.B. Handy) gerichtet sein. Andernfalls kann es dazu
kommen, dass keine Verbindung aufgebaut werden muss.
• Beachten Sie die Anleitung zu dem von Ihnen verwendeten Gerät (z.B. Handy), wie
eine IR-Verbindung aufgebaut werden kann. Bei vielen Handys ist dazu in den
Einstellungen die IR-Schnittstelle zuerst zu aktivieren.
Ausserdem wird die IR-Verbindung oft wieder beendet, sofern keine Daten übertragen werden (dient der Energie-Einsparung).
• Zur IR-Datenübertragung z.B. zu Handys ist eine geeignete Software erforderlich
(nicht im Lieferumfang). Achtung, nicht jede beliebige Software arbeitet mit jedem
Handy zusammen!

Installing drivers
First, install the driver as described in the following.
Only then the USB-IR adapter can be connected.
• Place the installation CD supplied in the appropriate disc drive of your PC.
• Change on the CD to the directory "MosChip" and than to the directory
"MCS7780" (it is possible that these directory names change in newer versions of
the driver CD).
Start the program "Setup.exe" and follow all instructions.
• Then remove the driver CD from the drive of your PC.
Connection
First, install the driver as described above.
• Connect the USB-IR adapter to a free USB port of your PC. Windows recognises the
USB-IR adapter and installs further components of the system. Follow all instructions.
• A reboot maybe necessary after that so the USB-IR adapter functions faultlessly.
Tips & notes
• The IR LED of the USB-IR adapter should be aimed directly at its counterpart on
the device you are using (i.e. mobile phone). Otherwise it can occur that no connection is made.
• Observe the instructions for the device you are using (i.e. mobile phone) for how
an IR connection is made. With many mobile phones, the IR interface must be activated in the settings.
Also the IR connection is often terminated when no data is being transferred (for
energy-saving).
• The appropriate software (not included) is required for data transfer to e.g. mobile
phones. NOTE: Not every software works together with every mobile phone!
• In the Safety Mode of Windows or under DOS, operation of the USB-IR adapter is
not possible. In this case, use an IR adapter with an RS232 interface.
• Im abgesicherten Modus von Windows oder unter DOS ist der Betrieb des USB-IRAdapters nicht möglich. Verwenden Sie in diesem Fall einen IR-Adapter mit
RS232-Schnittstelle.

Le produit est conçu pour être branché sur un port USB d´un ordinateur où il assure
la liaison sans fil (IR = à infrarouge) à d´autres appareils appropriés tels téléphones
mobiles et portables.

Installation des pilotes
Installer d´abord le pilote suivant la description suivante.
Puis connecter ensuite le lecteur de cartes.
• Insérez le CD fourni dans le lecteur de CD-ROM de votre ordinateur.
• Aller dans le repertoire « MCS7780 » contenu dans « MosChip » (l'architecture peut
être éventuellement différente pour de nouvelles versions du pilote)
Lancer le programme « Setup.exe » et suivre les instructions.
• Retirez alors le CD de pilote du lecteur de votre ordinateur.
Raccordement
Installer d´abord le pilote comme décrit précédemment.
• Raccordez l´adaptateur infrarouge USB à un port USB libre de votre PC. Windows
détecte automatiquement l´adaptateur infrarouge USB dès son raccordement.
Suivre toutes les instructions.
• Un redémarrage peut ensuite être nécessaire avant que l´adaptateur ne fonctionne
parfaitement.
Conseils & indications
• La DEL infrarouge de l´adaptateur infrarouge UBS doit être directement pointée sur
celle de l´appareil que vous utilisez (par exemple le téléphone portable). Sinon, il
se peut que l´établissement d´une connexion ne soit pas nécessaire.
• Tenez compte de la notice d´utilisation relatif à l´appareil que vous utilisez (téléphone portable par ex.) pour savoir comment établir une connexion infrarouge.
Pour nombre de téléphones portables, il faut d´abord activer l´interface infrarouge
dans les paramétrages.
De plus, la connexion infrarouge est souvent interrompue si aucune donnée n´est
transmise (sert à l´économie d´énergie).
• Pour la transmission infrarouge des données aux téléphones portables par ex., le
système doit disposé d´un logiciel approprié (non compris dans la livraison).
Attention : pas n´importe quel logiciel fonctionne avec chaque téléphone portable !
• L´adaptateur infrarouge USB ne fonctionne pas dans le mode sécurisé de Windows
ou sous DOS. Utilisez dans ce cas un adaptateur infrarouge dotée d´une interface
RS232.
