Life Cycle Analysis
The new EC-INOKS Collection by Éric CARRERE was inspired
-- from initial concept to final realization -- by strict methods of
conception and design, featuring recyclable materials with a
low carbon footprint, optimal weight/performance ratio, and
ecological monitoring of the production and distribution processes,
and possibilities for clean and environmentally friendly disposal.

Carefully selected materials
La nouvelle collection EC-INOKS conçue par le designer Éric
CARRERE a été guidée, de l’idée initiale jusqu’à sa réalisation
finale, par une méthode rigoureuse de design et de conception
qui privilégie le choix de matériaux à faible bilan carbone,
recyclables, d’un rapport poids/performance optimum, ainsi que
d’un suivi écologique de la production, de la distribution, de
potentialités d’éliminations réelles et propres.
The basic structure of the collection is made with 304 stainless
steel tubing, 90%
ù recyclable. Electrolytic polish finishing removes
all surface ferrous particles and ensures increased resistance
to atmospheric corrosion, chemical agents and salt spray. The
minor accessories (skids, arms) are mineral filled polyamide, 80%
recycled. The self-supporting canvas of the seatings and backs are
made of natural hemp fibre Batyline® Canatex, a material which
absorbs atmospheric CO2, helping to reduce the greenhouse
effect. The fibre surface has been especially treated against UV
radiation and is fire-retardant. Hemp fibre is factory-recyclable. All
table tops are of tempered 10mm recyclable glass, with anti-UV
enamel. Tempering increases the shock resistance of the glass by
a factor of 5; if broken, the glass crumbles harmlessly into 1 cm2
pieces.
Des matériaux soigneusement sélectionnés
Structure en tubes d’inox type 304, recyclable à 90 %, finition
par polissage électrolytique qui élimine les particules ferreuses
de surface en accroissant la résistance à la corrosion de l’air,
des agents chimiques et du brouillard salin. Petits accessoires de
friction (patins, accoudoirs) en polyamide chargé minéral, recyclé
à 80 %. La toile autoporteuse des assises et des dossiers est
réalisée en Batyline® Canatex qui intègre des fibres naturelles de
chanvre. Le chanvre est une plante consommatrice du CO2 présent
dans l’atmosphère et sa culture contribue à réduire l’effet de serre.
Le traitement extérieur de la fibre la protège des UV et la rend
ignifuge. Elle est recyclable en usine. Les plateaux de table sont
en verre trempé de 10 mm, recyclable, émaillé anti UV. La trempe
multiplie par 5 la résistance aux chocs ; en cas de bris, le verre
s’émiette sans danger en morceaux recyclables d’1 cm2.
La logistique, étape essentielle
L’emballage des tables est réalisé pré-monté à plat et celui des
sièges empilés par deux unités dans un pas d’empilage optimun,

Logistics: an essential stage
All tables are packed flat and pre-assembled. The seats are
stacked on top of each other in units of two, eliminating the
shipment of empty space. All packing materials -- corrugated
recycled cardboard and polyethylene film – are fully recyclable.

of recyclable resources, as well as the traceability features of
our manufacturing system and our enhanced logistics (compact
