La Communauté d’Universités
et d’Etablissements­Lille Nord
de France organise des sessions
intensives de cours de langue et
culture françaises chaque été. Ces cours
payants, qui ont lieu à Lille, sont destinés
en priorité aux étudiants témoignant­d’un
niveau B1-B2 du cadre européen commun
de référence pour les langues.

L’Université d’été de Boulogne-sur-Mer
propose­des cours de français, payants,

Durant votre séjour à l’UVHC
Cours de français à l’UVHC :
L’UVHC dispense gratuitement des cours
de langue française aux étudiants
étrangers­pendant toute l’année
universitaire­, d’octobre à mai (3 niveaux :
B1, B2 et C). Ces cours ont lieu à la Faculté
de Lettres, Langues, Arts et Sciences
Humaines (FLLASH) et commencent
début octobre. Les inscriptions se font sur
place, à la FLLASH. Chacun des 3 cours
correspond­à 3 crédits ECTS.

In Summer, the “Communauté
d’Universités et d’Etablissements
Lille Nord de France” organizes
training lessons of French
language and culture. These fee-courses,
which take place in Lille, are intended for
students who demonstrate a B1 or B2
level in French, according to the Common
European Framework of References for
Languages.
Only for our Erasmus+ incoming
students: UVHC can sponsor a scholarship
for a full intensive training session in
French (programme 60 or 70 during the 2
last weeks of August).

in Boulogne-sur-Mer (UEBM) :

and the Jules Mousseron university
residence hall from the Valenciennes
train station, take the tram in the direction,
«Université», and get off at the Mont Houy
stop (map and access: see pages 12 &

To find the Mont Houy Campus with a
navigation system, enter following address:

• The Tertiales campus and university
hall of residence is 10 minutes away
from the Valenciennes train station. Follow
the signs marked «Les Tertiales» (map

Cours de langue
française­
During your stay in Valenciennes
French classes at UVHC :
UVHC offers free French classes (at 3
levels : B1, B2 and C) for international
students throughout the school year,
from October until May. These classes are
conducted in the Faculty of Humanities
and Arts (FLLASH) and start at the
beginning of October. Registration takes
place directly at FLLASH at the beginning
of the semester. Each subject equals
3 ECTS credits.

Depuis juin 2009, les étudiants étrangers
(à l’exception des étudiants algériens) qui
disposent d’un visa de long séjour supérieur à 3 mois (VLS-TS) sont dispensés
d’effectuer les démarches pour l’obtention d’un titre de séjour à leur arrivée en
France.
Lors de la remise du visa pour la France,
le consulat français de votre pays d’origine
vous remettra une demande d’attestation
OFII (Office Français de l’Immigration et de
l’Intégration) que vous compléterez au BMI
de l’UVHC en fournissant également une
copie de votre passeport et de votre visa.
L’UVHC se chargera d’adresser les formulaires à l’OFII. Vous recevrez par courrier à
votre adresse en France, une attestation de
réception du formulaire.
L’OFII vous convoquera ensuite à une visite
médicale, si la visite n’a pas été passée
dans le pays d’origine (visite effectuée par
un médecin agréé par l’OFII). Pour la visite
médicale, vous devrez apporter : votre
passeport (avec visa), un justificatif de
domicile, une photo d’identité, les timbres
fiscaux OFII correspondant à 58 euros et,
le cas échéant, le certificat médical si la
visite a déjà été effectuée dans le pays
d’origine (par un médecin agréé OFII).

Since June 2009, non-European students
(except Algerian students) holding a
longterm visa VLS-TS (longer than 3
months) are exempted from taking the
necessary steps to get a residence permit
in France.
When you go to the French consulate in
your home country and get your visa to
stay in France, you will be given a form
entitled «demande d’attestation OFII»
(Office Français de l’Immigration et de
l’Intégration) that you will complete at
the International student mobility support
of UVHC (please, bring a copy of your
passport and visa).
You will then receive a letter proving that
OFII received your attestation request
form.
OFII will also call you in for a medical
examination. For medical examination,
you will have to bring: your passport (with
visa), a certification of residence (written
proof of your address in France), an ID
photograph, OFII stamps worth 58 euros.
If you already went through a medical
examination with an OFII-certified doctor
in your home country, you will also have
to bring your medical certificate with you.

Pour étudier en France et s’inscrire à
l’UVHC, vous devez obligatoirement­
dispose­r d’une couverture sociale­
pour couvrir les frais médicaux, les
frais pharmaceutiques­et les frais
d’hospitalisation­. Si vous êtes originaire
d’un État de l’Espace Économique Européen
(EEE) ou de la Suisse, vous devez apporter
votre carte européenne d’assurance maladie avec vous (se renseigner auprès de
votre organisme local de sécurité sociale)
et vous inscrire à la CPAM (Caisse Primaire
d’Assurance Maladie).
Si vous n’êtes pas originaire de l’EEE ou de
la Suisse, vous devrez adhérer au régime
étudiant de la sécurité sociale en France.

Health Insurance
In order to study in France and register at
UVHC, you have to have health insurance
to cover medical expenses, medicines
and hospitalization. If you come from
a European Economic Area (EEA) or
Switzerland, you must bring your European
Health Insurance Card with you from your
local health insurance organization and be
registered with the French CPAM (Caisse
Primaire d’Assurance Maladie).
If you are not coming from EEA or
Switzerland, you must sign up for student
health insurance in France. The cost of
this insurance is 215 € (for the 2015-2016
academic year). This compulsory health
insurance can be supplemented with a
student «mutual insurance», which will in
most cases cover nearly 100 % of health
expenses.
