who is concerned?
Health cover
COMPULSORY
• Overseas student in France: over 28 years of age on 1 October 2015
• OR resident in France for less than 3 months
• OR having arrived in France before 1 October of the academic year
• OR studying at an institution not approved by Student Social Security
Health cover proposed by smerep:
Tranquillity Guarantee (from 15 days to 11 months) or Serenity Guarantee
(1 year) from the SEM

How to register with sem?
Complete the registration form (SEM brochure available at the SMEREP
reception or at mutuelle-sem.fr)
List of documents to submit:
Your completed registration form, which has been dated and signed;
A cheque payable to SEM, a postal money order, or a credit card payment
for the amount owed;
The bank account details for the account to be used for your
reimbursements*;
The admissions certificate or a copy of a valid student card for the
academic year;
A copy of your valid identity document (identity card, passport).
A valid copy of your residence permit, long-stay visa, receipt for residence
permit, or OFPRA certificate.
*If it is the RIB (bank account details) of a third party, you must attach a payment authorisation indicating that you authorise the
SMEREP to pay your reimbursements into the account of Mr/Mrs... XXX number XXX. This authorisation must be signed by both
parties, namely yourself and the bank account holder.

Inscrivez toujours votre numéro de Sécurité sociale sur tout courrier ou
document que vous nous adressez.
Si vous ne connaissez pas votre numéro de Sécurité sociale, il vous suffit
de nous indiquer votre nom, prénom, date de naissance et adresse.
Always write your Social Security number on all correspondence or documents you
send us. If you do not know your Social Security number, just write us your name, first
name, date of birth and address.
