Installing this Support Package
This document accompanies the Support Package release for the SAP
BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management 7.5. It describes the
steps to take prior to installing the Support Package and how to both install
and uninstall the Support Package. These steps assume that you have
knowledge of the installation and deployment of the SAP BusinessObjects
Profitability and Cost Management software.
As a general rule, Profitability and Cost Management Support Package
releases must be applied to your network system components in the following
order:
1. Database server
2. Application server
3. Web server
4. Terminal / Citrix server
5. Client machines:
a. Web clients
b. Windows clients
Caution:
This release must only be applied to existing installations of SAP
BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management 7.5 . Before proceeding
with this upgrade, please refer to the SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and
Cost Management Installation Guide for general upgrade information.
In the table below, the XX in the Support Package installer program filename
refers to the number of the Support Package - 01, for example.

This SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management 7.5 Support
Package includes a re-issue of all SQL scripts and updates the following
files to version 2051 for both x86 and x64 platforms:
• PCMMain.exe
• PCMMainOCCI.exe
• PCMModel.exe
• PCMModelOCCI.exe
• RMUI.exe
• WMUI.exe
• DBUI.exe

Pre-installation tasks
Before you start to install the Support Package, ensure that the following
tasks are implemented on the Application server(s):
1. Ensure that all users are logged out of the system. This can be effectively
monitored in the User Monitor utility.
2. Restart the Primary Model (Application) server(s).
Restarting the server(s) removes any existing orphaned service processes.
Note:
Secondary Model servers do not need to be restarted.
3. Once you have restarted the Application server(s), stop all PCM services
in the Service Manager.
To install this Support Package on
Windows Vista with User Access Control
Switched on
To install this Support Package on Windows Vista with User Access Control
switched on, you must install from an elevated command prompt. Otherwise,
the following error message is displayed:
Error 2753. The File '<file name>' is not marked for
installation.
One method to open an elevated command prompt is to do the following :
1. Click Start > All Programs > Accessories.
2. Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
You can also temporarily switch User Access Control off, install the Support
Package, and then switch User Access Control on again.

To install this Support Package on the
database server
A PCM_75_SQL folder is supplied with the Support Package that contains
updated scripts for Microsoft SQL and Oracle database platforms. The
PCM_75_SQL folder needs to be extracted to the hard drive of the database
server.
1. Follow these steps for a Microsoft SQL database server:
a. Click Start > Run on the database server, type cmd and click OK.
b. At the command prompt change directory to where the SQL folder has
been copied.
c. At the command prompt, type the following command to apply the
new database scripts:
msschema.cmd<server name><database name><user
name><password>
2. Follow these steps for an Oracle database server:
a. Click Start > Run on the database server, type cmd and click OK.
b. At the command prompt change directory to where the SQL folder has
been copied.
c. At the command prompt, type the following command to apply the
new database scripts:
oracleschema.cmd <Database Name><Admin User Name> <Admin
Password><Restricted Username> <Restricted User Password>
Note:
Please refer to the SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management
Database Guide for Microsoft SQL Server or the SAP BusinessObjects
Profitability and Cost Management Database Guide for Oracle for further
information.
To install this Support Package on the
Application server(s)
Before you start, extract all files from the supplied ZIP file to a suitable
location on the Application server(s).

1. Depending on which version of the software the server is running (32-bit
or 64-bit), do one of the following:
• If the server is running the 32-bit version of the software, double-click
SBO PCM Support Package XX.msp, where XX is the number of the
Support Package
• If the server is running the 64-bit version of the software, double-click
SBO PCM Support Package XX_x64.msp, where XX is the number of
the Support Package
2. In the "Welcome" screen of the InstallShield Wizard, click Upgrade.
When installation is complete, the final screen of the wizard displays. The
Launch SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management
Configuration Wizard check box is selected by default.
3. Click Finish to complete the upgrade and launch the Configuration Wizard.
4. Complete the Configuration Wizard by clicking Next on each screen to
accept the existing settings, and then clicking Finish.
To install this Support Package on the Web
server
Before you start, extract all files from the supplied ZIP file to a suitable
location on the Web server.
1. On the Web server, double-click the SBO PCM Support Package XX.msp,
where XX is the number of the Support Package .
Note:
Only 32-bit setup on a 32-bit operating system is supported for Web
servers.
2. In the "Welcome" screen of the InstallShield Wizard, click Upgrade.
When installation is complete, the final screen of the wizard displays. The
Launch SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management
Configuration Wizard check box is selected by default.
3. Click Finish to complete the upgrade and launch the Configuration Wizard.
4. Complete the Configuration Wizard by clicking Next on each screen to
accept the existing settings, and then clicking Finish.
This copies the new web files to the IIS web site folder.
5. Restart IIS in the "Internet Information Services Manager".

To install this Support Package on the
Terminal or Citrix server
Before you start, extract all files from the supplied ZIP file to a suitable
location on the Terminal or Citrix server.
1. On the server, double-click the SB0 PCM Support Package XX.msp file,
where XX is the number of the Support Package
2. In the "Welcome" screen of the InstallShield Wizard, click Upgrade.
When installation is complete, the final screen of the wizard displays. The
Launch SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management
Configuration Wizard check box is selected by default.
3. Click Finish to complete the upgrade and launch the Configuration Wizard.
4. Complete the Configuration Wizard by clicking Next on each screen to
accept the existing settings, and then clicking Finish.
To install this Support Package on Web
clients
Web clients require the ActiveX component to be installed. If your network
group policy allows this type of update, ActiveX is automatically updated
from the Web server to the Web clients.
If you are unable to automatically distribute ActiveX to Web clients, then you
can perform the following steps:
1. Deploy the webviewersetup.exe to all Web clients.
2. Launch the webviewersetup.exe on each client and, after accepting the
terms of the licence agreement, navigate through the screens of the
InstallShield Wizard, clicking Next to accept the default choices. Click
Finish on the final screen.
Tip:
It is recommended that your group or local security policy is amended to
allow clients to download ActiveX components that are digitally signed.

To install this Support Package on
Windows clients
To install version the Support Package on Windows clients that have
Profitability and Cost Management applications installed, (Model Builder,
Book Builder, Book Viewer), perform the following steps:
1. Extract the SBO PCM SupportPackage Xx.msp file (where XX is the
number of the Support Package) to a suitable location from the supplied
ZIP file.
Note:
Only 32-bit setup on a 32-bit operating system and 32-bit setup on a 64-bit
operating system are supported on Windows clients.
2. In the "Welcome" screen of the InstallShield Wizard, click Upgrade.
When installation is complete, the final screen of the wizard displays. The
Launch SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management
Configuration Wizard check box is selected by default.
3. Click Finish to complete the upgrade and launch the Configuration Wizard.
4. Complete the Configuration Wizard by clicking Next on each screen to
accept the existing settings, and then clicking Finish.

Uninstalling this Support Package
Before you uninstall this Support Package, ensure that all users are logged
out of the system and that no PCM services are running, as you would prior
to installing the support package.

To uninstall this Support Package
To uninstall the Support Package on the Application server, Web Server, or
Windows client, follow these steps:
1. Access the Windows Control Panel and open "Add or Remove Programs"
2. Ensure Show Updates is selected in the "Add or Remove Programs"
window.
3. Under SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management,
locate the Support Package you want to remove and click the
corresponding Remove button.
4. Click Yes in the confirmation dialog box.
Note:
For the Web server, after uninstalling the Support Package, you must re-run
the Configuration Wizard to refresh the C:\Intepub\WWWroot\PCM directory
with the correct files to re-establish connectivity.
