Founded in 1976, Maastricht University is the youngest university in The
Netherlands and growing rapidly. The university has received international acclaim for its unique Problem-Based Learning method, in which
students work together in small groups on real life problems, cases and
assignments.
The Economics School of Louvain mergers the Master Programmes of
the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), founded in 1425 and located in
Louvain-la-Neuve, and of the Facultés Notre-Dame de la Paix (FUNDP),
located in Namur.
UCL has more than 21 000 students, 5000 staff, of whom 1400 professors
and 1800 researchers, as well as 130 000 alumni throughout the world.
One fifth of its students are non-European and represent 120 different
nationalities. A quarter of its students gain experience abroad through
national and international networks.

Double Degree Programme
This double degree programme is designed for students who
want to combine advanced training in economics with international mobility and integration. The first year is spent in Maastricht, the second year in Louvain-la-Neuve and/or Namur.
At the end of the curriculum, students obtain the Maastricht Master
in International Economic studies and Master in Economics diploma
issued jointly by UCL and FUNDP.
This programme is taught in English with the possibility of taking classes in French at the Economics School of Louvain.
It comprises two tracks:

year. They register and pay their intuition at the Université catholique de
