Le Centre hospitalier de St. Mary est à la recherche d’un chef
pour son département d’oncologie.
Le Centre hospitalier de St. Mary est un hôpital
communautaire de 271 lits, membre du Réseau universitaire
intégré de santé (RUIS) de l’Université McGill. Situé au cœur
d’un des quartiers multiculturels de Montréal, il offre une vaste
gamme de services à la communauté qu’il dessert. Le
départment d’oncologie dispose de 22 lits, (dont 6 pour les
soins palliatifs) et la clinique d`oncologie compte 1400 visitespatients chaque mois. Le département d`oncologie jouit d`un
important programme de recherche. Le chef du département
jouera également un rôle actif dans la gestion des ressources
du Réseau de cancérologie Rossy.
Le ou la candidat(e) doit détenir un certificat de spécialisation
dans un domaine reconnu par l’Université McGill et être inscrit
au Tableau du Collège des médecins du Québec. Le poste
requiert une personne possédant des compétences en
enseignement médical, en gestion et en recherche. Il/elle sera
un membre du personnel académique contractuel de l`hôpital
et il devrait être admissible pour une nomination à la Faculté
de médecine de l`Université McGill.

for the position of Chief of the Department of Oncology.
St. Mary’s Hospital is a fully accredited 271-bed community
teaching hospital, member of the McGill University
“Réseau universitaire intégré de santé” (RUIS).
It is
situated in the heart of one of Montreal’s multicultural
districts and offers its community a broad scope of
services. The Department of Oncology has 22 dedicated
beds (including 6 Palliative Care beds) and there are 1400
patient visits monthly in the Oncology Clinic. There is an
active research program within the Department. The Chief
of the Department will also play an active role in the
management of the resources of the Rossy Cancer
Network.
The candidates must hold a speciality certificate in a field
acceptable to McGill University and be eligible to practice
in Quebec. The position requires an individual with skills in
medical education, administration and research. He/she
will hold a contract academic staff position at the hospital
and should be eligible for ranked professional appointment
at McGill.
