Formé en 1993, ELVARON est un groupe confirmé venant de la région nancéenne. Après 2 ans d’existence, ELVARON
s’oriente vers un style plus technique et progressif baignant dans un univers médiéval et fantastique. Après 2 démos, le groupe sort
« MAGES BATTLE » en Août 1997, un concept album qui retrace les aventures du héros Raistlin. Cet album fut très bien accueilli par la
presse, avec en outre un passage sur la chaîne Télé régionale M6- Nancy mais aussi en se voyant offrir la première partie du mythique Iron
Maiden au Zénith en Avril 1998. Mai 2001 annonce la sortie du nouvel album « THE FIVE SHIRES » où le groupe affirme davantage sa
qualité musicale tout en s’octroyant une fraîcheur artistique plus aboutie. Cette suite épique des aventures de Raistlin exploite un potentiel
mélodique incroyable mis en valeur par des musiciens universitaires en Musicologie prometteurs qui maîtrisent leurs instruments avec
respect et dextérité. Le Thrash rageur des débuts s’est un peu effacé au profit d’une musique toujours aussi complexe mais beaucoup plus
accessible. Le chant s’est également éclairci, abordant maintenant un registre proche de Dave Mustaine. A juste titre, ELVARON est à
même de séduire les amateurs de musique riche, épique et progressive à souhait. Atteignant des sommets d’ingéniosité dans la conception
et l’orchestration de rythmiques puissantes et incisives, ELVARON impose son talent certain puisant intelligemment dans les valeurs
intemporelles du Thrash et fleurtant habilement dans les sillons du Progressif.

Power Trio created in 1993, ELVARON is coming from the East of France ( Nancy ). ELVARON evolves in a skilled &
technical Progressive Thrash Metal style. By that time, the band started to create its own universe based on a medieval & fantastic
approach. 2 demos later, the band issued its 1st selfrelease album «MAGES BATTLE» in August 1997, a concept album based on the stories
of Raistlin. This album was acclaimed by all medias. Then, the national TV Chanel M6- Nancy gives air to the band & later, ELVARON
opened for the mighty Iron Maiden in Nancy, Zénith 98’. May 2001 is a good year for the coming back with a new album entitled «THE
FIVE SHIRES». The band more mature shows its new face : this new concept album describes again the following memories of Raistlin.
ELVARON is definitely a band covering a huge melodic potential enlightned by skilled musicians. From the raging Thrash Metal of the
beginning has arisen a more structured music, even if it’s still a rich & agressive music. Matt’s voice is now more melodic & close to Dave
Mustaine’s vocals parts. By the way, ELVARON is this kind of band that will seduce both Epic / Progressive Metal fans but with more
powerful & Thrash oriented guitar parts.
