GRADING SYSTEM:
The French system uses the 0-20 grading scale. All the grades are assigned out of 20.
The highest possible grade is 20 out of 20, the lowest possible grade is 0 out of 20, the average mark is 10 out of 20.
The average mark is required to pass
Depending on his / her grade, the student can also get the following honours:
- From 10 to 12 out of 20: « mention passable » = pass
- From 12 to 14 out of 20: « mention assez bien » = satisfactory
- From 14 to 16 out of 20: « mention bien » = good
- From 16 to 18 out of 20: « mention très bien » = excellent
- From 18 to 20 out of 20: « félicitations » = excellent with honours
Other few recommandations:

Students must attend the courses, and do the exams. If they do not come, they do not get a mark, and thus, do not get the
ECTS.

Students have to choose a Block of units
(for ex, in our program: the course 55.1 is divided in 55.1 A, 55.1 B and 55.1 C.
The student cannot take only 55.1 A ! He must choose the 3 units.)
Students can follow courses in other faculties in Montpelier, but they must choose at least 50% courses in STAPS.
The student has to take contact with the other faculty and to adjust his timetable between both faculties.

Students' learning agreement must contain 50% of theoretical courses.

Students can take at maximum: "2 activités complémentaires" or "1 spécialité et 2 activités complémentaires" per semester.

Students' transcript of records mentions the ECTS only when the student has obtained the average mark of 10/20.
