Rocker Arm Replacement Kit
Includes 1x Rocker Arm ref A0916, 2x Blue Boots, 1x Pin
CAUTION:

REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS:
The visible distal end of the Rocker Arm is confirmed broken when it barely extends below the blue boot
covering the head of the handpiece (FIGURE B). Alternatively, the non visible proximal end of the Rocker
Arm may break within the handpiece head due to improper handling. In either instance, the handpiece is
inoperable as it is no longer possible to attach an Activator tip and/or vibrate an attached Activator tip when
the ON/OFF button is depressed. When this occurs, the Rocker Arm must be repaired.

1. Firmly support the head of the handpiece and gently peel away the blue
boot as it is glued down during the manufacturing process. Use the thumb
and forefinger to pinch, pull, and peel away the boot from the handpiece
head, then discard.
2. If necessary, remove residual glue and/or silicone remnants from the blue
boot with a scalpel to create a clean surface.
3. To remove the Rocker Arm, support the head of the handpiece and, in a
controlled manner, firmly press the distal end of the cotton pliers against
the round silver pin to initiate movement. Continue to push against the pin
until the Rocker Arm is free. NOTE: The round silver pin may, at times, be
completely displaced from the head of the handpiece.
4. The rocker arm will disengage when the round silver pin has been
sufficiently displaced. With thumb and forefingers, gently pull out the
damaged Rocker Arm and discard
5. With the pin in the release position, select a new Rocker Arm from the
Repair Kit. Insert the proximal end of the Rocker Arm into the head of the
handpiece until seated. NOTE: Be sure to insert the Rocker Arm in the
correct orientation.
6. When the hole in the Rocker Arm is aligned with the holes within the head
of the handpiece, then press the pin back into place using the back end of
the cotton pliers. Firmly support the head of the handpiece during the
reassembly process. An additional pin is included in the Repair Kit, if
needed.
7. Select a new blue boot from the Repair Kit to place over the visible distal
end of the Rocker Arm and onto the handpiece. A spare blue boot is
provided for possible future needs. Once the boot is fully seated, the
handpiece is now repaired and ready for use.
8. If preferred, the blue boot cover can be secured with a cyanoacrylate type
adhesive. Carefully dispense a single drop of glue as shown and a
second drop opposing this position on the underside of the handpiece.
Gluing the blue boot mitigates inadvertent displacement during future use.
CAUTION: Excessive glue may limit or prevent the Rocker Arm from
freely moving.
During future use, when the clinical procedure has been completed, remove an attached EndoActivator tip
by firmly supporting the head of the handpiece with your thumb while grasping the white, circular, flange
portion of the Activator tip with opposite thumb and forefinger. Use your thumb to maintain support of the
handpiece and pull the Activator tip STRAIGHT off. Keep the handpiece head and Activator tip aligned
during the removal process. The Activator tip snaps ON/OFF in exactly the same alignment. NEVER use a
clockwise or counterclockwise motion to remove a tip. NEVER twist, turn or torque the tip when removing.
Activator tips are intended for single-patient use only.

RECOMMANDATIONS POUR LES REPARATIONS
La fracture de l’arbre vibrant est confirmée lorsque son extremité devient à peine visible à la sortie de la
gaine bleue de protection recouvrant la tête de la pièce à main. Néanmoins, il peut également être fracturé à
l'intérieur de la tête sans pour autant que cela ne soit visible. La pièce à main devient inutilisable, puisqu'il
n'est plus possible de fixer l’embout Activator et/ou de le faire vibrer en pressant le bouton ON/OFF. Dans ce
cas, l'arbre vibrant doit être réparé.

1. Maintenir fermement la tête de la pièce à main, et retirer avec précaution la
gaine bleue de protection de la tête. Cette protection a été collée au moment
de la fabrication. Utiliser le pouce et l'index pour pincer, tirer et enlever cette
gaine de la pièce à main, puis la jeter.
2. Si nécessaire, éliminer les résidus de colle et de Silicone issus de la gaine
de protection et pouvant persister sur la tête de l'instrument, avec un bistouri
de façon à obtenir une surface propre.
3. Pour libérer la partie endommagée, maintenir la tête de l'instrument, et
placer la pointe de la précelle contre l'extrémité de l’axe métallique de la tête
pour commencer le mouvement. Poursuivre en poussant cette tige
métallique jusqu'à ce que l'arbre rotatif soit libre. Note : La tige métallique
peut parfois être déjà complètement sortie de son axe et de la tête de
l'instrument.
4. L’arbre vibrant peut être retiré lorsque la tige métallique a suffisamment été
déplacée. Avec le pouce et l'index, retirer lentement la pièce endommagée et
la jeter.
5. Avec la tige métallique toujours en position repoussée, sélectionner un
nouvel arbre vibrant du kit de réparation. Insérer l'extrémité de cet arbre
dans la tête de l'instrument et l'enfoncer complètement. Note : s'assurer que
l'arbre a été correctement mis en place avant de poursuivre.
6. Lorsque l'orifice de l'arbre vibrant est aligné avec les deux trous de la pièce à
main, repousser la tige métallique avec le manche de la précelle. Maintenir
fermement la tête de l'instrument durant le processus d'assemblage. Une
tige métallique est disponible dans le kit de réparation en cas de nécessité.
7. Prendre une nouvelle gaine de protection bleue du kit de réparation et la
replacer sur la tête de l'instrument afin de la protéger. Une seconde gaine de
protection est disponible pour un usage futur. Une fois cette gaine remise en
place, la pièce à main est réparée est prête à être utilisée.
8. Il est également possible de coller cette gaine de protection sur la tête avec
une goutte de colle cyanoacrylate. Dans ce cas, déposer une goutte de colle
sur la tête de l'instrument et une goutte sur la face opposée. Le fait de coller
ainsi la gaine de protection permet de limiter les risques de déplacement lors
du changement des embouts activateurs. Attention : un collage inapproprié
peut empêcher l'instrument de fonctionner normalement.
Au cours de l'utilisation, lorsque les procédures cliniques sont terminées, retirer l’embout activateur en
maintenant la tête de l'instrument avec votre pouce pendant que vous saisissez la collerette blanche
circulaire de l’embout avec votre pouce et l'index de la main opposée. Utilisez votre pouce pour maintenir la
pièce à main et retirer l’embout en tirant dans l'axe. Toujours maintenir la pièce à main et l’embout alignés
pendant son retrait. Ne jamais utiliser de mouvement de rotation horaire ou anti horaire, ni ne tourner ou
plier l’embout lors de son retrait. Les embouts sont à usage unique.

REPARATURANLEITUNG:
Das sichtbare distale Ende des Schwinghebels ist abgebrochen, wenn es nur knapp über die blaue Kappe
am Handstückkopf hinausragt (ABBILDUNG B). Das nicht sichtbare proximale Ende des Schwinghebels im
Handstückkopf kann bei unsachgemäßem Gebrauch ebenfalls brechen. In beiden Fällen ist das Handstück
funktionsunfähig, da kein Activator Tip mehr angebracht und/oder durch Betätigung des EIN/AUS-Schalters
in Schwingungen versetzt werden kann. Der Schwinghebel muss ausgewechselt werden.

1. Den Kopf des Handstücks gut festhalten und die werksseitig angeklebte blaue
Kappe vorsichtig abziehen. Die Kappe mit Daumen und Zeigefinger greifen, vom
Handstückkopf abziehen und dann entsorgen.
2. Gegebenenfalls Klebstoff- und/oder Silikonreste der blauen Kappe mit einem
Skalpell entfernen, um eine saubere Oberfläche zu erhalten.
3. Zur Entfernung des Schwinghebels den Handstückkopf gut festhalten und mit der
Spitze der Watte-Pinzette fest und kontrolliert gegen den runden Silberstift
drücken, so dass er zur Seite geschoben wird. Den Stift so weit herausschieben,
bis der Schwinghebel frei beweglich ist. HINWEIS: Der Stift wird dabei manchmal
ganz aus dem Handstückkopf geschoben.
4. Wenn der Silberstift weit genug zur Seite geschoben ist, lässt sich der schadhafte
Schwinghebel entfernen. Den Schwinghebel mit Daumen und Zeigefinger
vorsichtig herausziehen und entsorgen.
5. Den Silberstift in seiner Position belassen und den neuen Schwinghebel aus dem
Reparaturset nehmen. Das proximale Ende des Schwinghebels in den
Handstückkopf einschieben, bis es richtig sitzt. HINWEIS: Darauf achten, den
Schwinghebel in der korrekten Richtung einzusetzen.
6. Wenn sich das Loch im Schwinghebel auf einer Höhe mit den Löchern im
Handstückkopf befindet, den Silberstift mit dem Griff der Watte-Pinzette in seine
Ausgangsposition zurückschieben. Hierbei den Handstückkopf gut festhalten. Bei
Bedarf ist im Reparaturset ein Ersatzstift zu finden.
7. Eine neue blaue Kappe aus dem Reparaturset nehmen und über das sichtbare
distale Ende des Schwinghebels sowie den Handstückkopf streifen. Für
eventuellen späteren Bedarf liegt eine weitere Ersatzkappe bei. Nach dem
korrekten Anbringen der blauen Kappe ist das Handstück repariert und
betriebsbereit.
8. Falls gewünscht, kann die blaue Kappe mit einem Cyanacrylat-Klebstoff befestigt
werden. Vorsichtig erst einen Tropfen Klebstoff wie dargestellt auftragen, und
dann einen zweiten Tropfen genau entgegengesetzt auf der Unterseite des
Handstücks. Das Ankleben verringert die Gefahr einer ungewollten Lockerung der
blauen Kappe beim Betrieb des Handstücks. VORSICHT: Zu viel Klebstoff kann
die Bewegung des Schwinghebels behindern oder vollständig blockieren.
Beim künftigen Betrieb des EndoActivator wird der befestigte Activator Tip nach Abschluss der klinischen
Anwendung wie folgt vom Handstück entfernt: Den Kopf des Handstücks mit dem Daumen der einen Hand
gut festhalten und die weiße, schalenförmige Schutzvorrichtung am Activator Tip mit dem Daumen und dem
Zeigefinger der anderen Hand greifen. Bei gut festgehaltenem Handstück den Activator Tip GERADE
herausziehen. Der Kopf des Handstücks und der Activator Tip müssen bei der Entfernung in einer Linie
ausgerichtet sein. Den Activator Tip nur in gerader Richtung ein- und ausstecken. NIEMALS durch Drehung
im oder gegen den Uhrzeigersinn entfernen. Der Activator Tip darf bei der Entfernung NIEMALS einem
Drehmoment ausgesetzt, also z.B. verdreht oder verwunden, werden. Die Activator Tips sind nur für einen
Patienten vorgesehene Einmalartikel.

ISTRUZIONI PER LA RIPARAZIONE:
L’estremità distale visibile del braccetto orientabile è da considerarsi rotta quando si estende appena sotto la
guaina blu che copre la testa del manipolo (FIGURA B). In alternativa, l’estremità prossimale non visibile del
braccetto orientabile può rompersi a livello della testa del manipolo a causa di un uso non corretto. In
entrambi i casi, il manipolo non è più utilizzabile perché non è più possibile applicare una punta Activator e/o
far vibrare una punta Activator applicata premendo il pulsante ON/OFF. Quando si verifica questo, il
braccetto orientabile deve essere riparato.

1. Tenere saldamente testa del manipolo e rimuovere delicatamente la guaina blu
che è stata incollata durante il processo produttivo. Usare il pollice e l’indice per
staccare e asportare la guaina dalla testa del manipolo e gettarla.
2. Se necessario, rimuovere i residui di colla e silicone alla guaina blu con un
bisturi per lasciare pulita la superficie.
3. Per rimuovere il braccetto oscillante, tenere la testa del manipolo e, in maniera
controllata, premere con forza l’estremità distale della pinzetta contro il perno
rotondo argentato per attivare il movimento. Continuare a spingere contro il
perno fino a liberare il braccetto orientabile. NOTA: Il perno rotondo talvolta può
essere completamente dislocato dalla testa del manipolo.
4. Il braccetto orientabile si sgancerà quando il perno rotondo sarà stato
sufficientemente dislocato. Con il pollice e l’indice, asportare delicatamente il
braccetto orientabile e scartarlo.
5. Con il perno in posizione di rilascio, scegliere un nuovo braccetto orientabile dal
Kit di riparazione. Inserire l’estremità prossimale del braccetto orientabile dentro
alla testa del manipolo, fino in fondo. NOTA: Accertarsi di inserire il braccetto
con l’orientamento corretto.
6. Quando il foro nel braccetto orientabile è allineato con i fori della testa del
manipolo, premere il perno in posizione usando l’estremità posteriore delle
pinzette. Durante il processo di assemblaggio, tenere in modo sicuro la testa del
manipolo. Se necessario, nel Kit di riparazione è incluso un ulteriore perno.
7. Applicare una nuova guaina blu sopra all’estremità distale visibile del braccetto
orientabile e sopra al manipolo. Per eventuali necessità future, è disponibile
un’ulteriore guaina di ricambio. Una volta che la guaina è completamente
applicata, il manipolo è riparato e pronto all’uso.
8. Se si preferisce, la guaina blu può essere fissata con un adesivo tipo
cianoacrilato. Con cautela, applicare una sola goccia di colla come illustrato
nella figura e una seconda goccia nel punto opposto sotto al manipolo.
Incollando la guaina blu si evita l’indesiderato dislocamento durante l’utilizzo.
ATTENZIONE: Una quantità eccessiva colla può limitare o impedire il libero
movimento del braccetto orientabile.
Durante l’utilizzo, quando la procedura clinica è stata completata, rimuovere la punta Endo Activator
applicata tenendo in modo saldo la testa del manipolo con il pollice mentre si afferra la parte della flangia
circolare bianca della punta Activator con il pollice e l’indice. Usare il pollice per tenere il manipolo ed
estrarre IN MODO DIRITTO la punta Activator. Durante la procedura di rimozione, mantenere la testa del
manipolo e la punta Activator allineati. La punta si inserisce e si rimuove esattamente con lo stesso
allineamento. Per rimuovere la punta NON USARE MAI un movimento orario o antiorario. MAI girare,
ruotare o forzare la punta durante la sua rimozione. Le punte Activator sono monouso.

PRECAUCIONES:
La ley federal de Estados Unidos restringe la venta de este material a un dentista o por orden de un
dentista.
INSTRUCCIONES DE REPARACION:
Se confirma la rotura de la parte final distal del brazo oscilante, cuando apenas se extienda por debajo de la
cubierta azul de la cabeza de la pieza de mano (FIGURA B). Asimismo, la parte final proximal no visible del
brazo oscilante puede romperse en la cabeza de la pieza de mano debido a un manejo inapropiado. En
otros casos, la pieza de mano no funciona, o porque no se pueda enganchar una punta Activator, o no vibre
una punta ya colocada cuando se accione el botón ON/OFF. Cuando esto ocurra, el brazo oscilante debe
ser reparado.

1. Sujetar firmemente la cabeza de la pieza de mano y quitar suavemente la
cubierta azul, ya que viene pegada de fábrica. Utilizar el pulgar y el índice para
sujetar, tirar y quitar la cubierta de la cabeza de la pieza de mano y desecharla.
2. Si fuera necesario, quitar con un bisturí el pegamento residual o el remanente
de silicona de la cubierta azul para obtener una superficie limpia.
3. Para extraer el brazo oscilante, sujetar la cabeza de la pieza de mano y, de
forma controlada, presionar firmemente con la punta de las pinzas de algodón
el perno redondeado de plata para comenzar a moverlo. Continuar empujando
el perno hasta que se suelte el brazo oscilante. NOTA: El perno de plata
redondeado puede, a veces, estar completamente desplazado de la cabeza de
la pieza de mano.
4. El brazo oscilante se desenganchará cuando el perno de plata redondeado se
haya desplazado lo suficiente. Con el pulgar y el dedo índice tirar suavemente
del brazo oscilante dañado y desecharlo.
5. Con el perno suelto,coger el brazo oscilante nuevo del kit de reparación.
Insertar la parte proximal final del brazo oscilante en la cabeza de la pieza de
mano hasta su sitio. NOTA: asegurarse de colocar el brazo oscilante con la
orientación correcta.
6. Cuando el agujero del brazo oscilante esté alineado con los agujeros de la
cabeza de la pieza de mano, presionar el perno hacia su sitio usando la parte
trasera de las pinzas de algodón. Sujetar firmemente la cabeza de la pieza de
mano durante el proceso de montaje. Un perno adicional viene incluido en el kit
de reparación por si fuese necesario.
7. Seleccionar una nueva cubierta azul del kit de reparación y colocarla a través
del extremo final distal visible del brazo oscilante y ajustarla a la cabeza de la
pieza de mano. Se proporciona una cubierta azul de repuesto, para
necesidades futuras. Una vez que la cubierta azul esté totalmente colocada, la
pieza de mano está reparada y lista para su uso.
8. Si se prefiere, la cubierta azul se puede pegar con adhesivo de cianocrilato.
Colocar con cuidado una gota de pegamento como se muestra en la imagen y
una segunda gota en la parte opuesta, en la parte baja de la pieza de mano. Al
colocar pegamento en la cubierta azul se evitan movimientos inadvertidos
durante su uso. PRECAUCION: Un uso excesivo de pegamento podría limitar o
impedir que el brazo oscilante se mueva libremente.
En posteriores usos, cuando el procedimiento clínico haya terminado, quitar la punta EndoActivator
mediante una sujección firme con el pulgar de la cabeza de la pieza de mano, mientras se sujeta la pestaña
blanca circular de la punta Activator con el pulgar y el índice de la otra mano. Utilizar el pulgar para
mantener la presión sobre la pieza de mano y tirar hacia fuera, lo más recto posible, de la punta Activator.
Mantener la cabeza de la pieza de mano y la punta Activator alineadas durante el proceso de desmontaje.
La punta Activator entra y sale exactamente alineada de la misma forma. NUNCA realizar ningún
movimiento de giro para sacar la punta. NUNCA girar, torcer o forzar la punta al quitarla. Las puntas
Activator están diseñadas para ser utilizadas en un solo paciente.
