limate Generations areas will be open to the public
free of charge, as well as to participants in the
international climate negotiations. They will be open
from December 1st to 11th , from 10:30 to 19:00, apart
from Sunday, December 6th.
The placing of the Climate Generations areas right
next to the United Nations conference centre, their size
(27,000m2), and their design which is inspired by the
consultation of a hundred organizations organizations
are unprecedented in the history of the organization of
climate conferences.

340 French and international civil society
organizations will participate in bringing the Climate
Generations areas to life. The public will be able to
explore and participate through 100 stands, about
20 educational and interactive exhibitions, over 300
conferences and more than 60 film screenings.
As they explore the commitment of all generations, the
Climate Generations areas will be open to public. They
seek to arouse debate on solutions to climate change.
In the wake of the 600 COP21 labelled projects, the
Climate Generations areas aim to focus on solutions, at
both local and global levels, which are available to all,
for the present and future.

2015 Paris Climate Conference, and will allow all visitors
to take part in debates and mobilization for COP21/CMP11.
Screens will show key points in negotiations live.

United for Climate
From December 1st to 11th 2015, apart from December the 6th, Climate Generations areas
will house a hundred stands. Those stands will be enlivened by French and International civil
society.
Distributed in three areas, the whole nine majors groups recognized as international climate
negotiations observers will be represented : non governmental organizations, trade unions,
local authorities, entrepreneurs and industries, scientific and technical communities, the
youth, women and gender, farmers and native people.
Other actors will also commit themselves in this meeting. This multiplicity of non governmental
actors embodies a meaningful and mobilising dialogue toward solutions for climate.

PROGRAM
Screenings
W
ith some 60 long films, documentaries, activist films, television
programmes, episodes of series and short films, the cinema of the
Climate Generations areas, called Wangari Maathai in honour of the first
African female Nobel Peace Prize laureate, will offer a wealth of screenings
and debates every day.
Under the high patronage of Segolene Royal, French Minsiter of Ecology,
Sustainable Develoment and Energy, this program was drawn in collaboration
with the French Development Agency (AFD), the Research and Development
Insitute (IRD), the International Environmental Film Festival and the Ocean
Climate Plateform. The crews of the films presented have been invited to
attend the screenings, and may speak at the end, interacting with the audience
in the cinema which can seat up to 200 people.
