Debussy a nommé «Images».
question de la transposition dans l’art
artistiques - peinture, dessin, photographie,
film - sont souvent utilisés de manière
inhabituelle.
Reflets dans l’eau – Reflexe im Wasser –
gehört zu einer Reihe von Klavierstücken, die
Claude Debussy „Images“ nannte. Debussys
musikalische Bilder setzen in Klänge um, was
Prozesse
der Wahrnehmung werden auch in ihrer
Zeitlichkeit sichtbar gemacht.
Die künstlerischen Medien – Malerei,
Zeichnung, Fotografie, Film – kommen dabei
in oft ungewohnter Weise zum Einsatz.

the photographic medium itself – both artistically and theoretically. The international view that
shapes her artistic works is not least caused by her own biography and her extended
journeys.

Wolfgang Weileder
Wolfgang Weileder is an artist whose practice is primarily concerned with the examination and
critical deconstruction of architecture, public spaces and the interactions we have with the urban
environment. His works are investigations into the relationship between time and space, the
interface between permanence and transience, and how these can be explored to question our
understanding of the landscape, both built and natural. His work engages with the world through
large-scale, temporary site-specific installation and sculpture; temporal recordings of spaces and
environments through photography; film, performance and sound installation. Wolfgang Weileder
is originally from Munich, Germany. He moved to the UK in 2000 and is currently Professor in
Contemporary Sculpture at Newcastle University.

WorldCup 2014 - On the captive spectators
Michael Wesely’s works for the Football World Cup shows no scenes from the matches themselves but shows the places where fans in Berlin follow the matches. Exposed for the length of
the game, they evidence a wide range of highly differing settings. At the same time, an image of
the spectators emerges ‒ it has not been created by the photographer, but by the course of the
game and the fans’ sympathies. The image inscribes itself, and does not necessarily relate the
occurrences of the match. The image contains everything: the private nature of the most emotional
moments, which television hopes to provide us with as our daily bread, is salvaged into invisibility
due to the extended exposure times.
