FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2013, “STUDENT” HOUSING BENENFIT

You are a student

You live in an apartment (furnished or not), share a student residence, a room.

You pay a rent.
You may receive a housing benefit.
Please go to www.caf.fr
What must be furnished:
Bring your revenue for 2011, your Bank account number (RIB Relevé d’Identité
Bancaire), and the amount of your monthly rent obligation.
To be noted:
-
Your parents will no longer receive any allowance on your behalf in the
French system
-
You must not have any family link with your landlord (parents, grandparents)
-
The renting contract must be in your own name
-
The possibility to receive a student housing benefit for lodging is possible one
month after preceding conditions are met. For example: For an apartment
occupied in September, the right will be open from October and the benefit
will be paid in November.

If you do not want to lose the right to receive a housing benefit, please apply
as soon as you begin to rent. No housing benefit will be paid retroactively.

Calculation of the allowance is made on the basis of declared revenue in year
2011. For students without any revenue or with low revenue, calculation is
made on French minimum bases.

The list of documents to be attached will be indicated on the last page of teledeclaration.

Foreigners must fulfill conditions giving them the rights to reside in France.

Indicate the building and room numbers of the lodging.
Enter the RIB, the BIC and IBAN and name of the Bank
Revenues:

Declare all your revenue from the year 2011, received in France as well as
abroad

Scholarships or grands given on basis of social need or in Erasmus process
don’t need to be declared
To finish with:

Print the rental contract to be completed by your landlord, and sign it

Print the rent proof to be completed by your landlord

Then send the application with all necessary documents to CAF where you are
renting.
