The new Audi A4 with the redesigned 1.8 TFSI engine
A successful car is now even more attractive
Audi A4 is the best-selling model and the focal point of the brand. A bestseller is
now even more attractive: Audi has extensively updated the A4 model series with
the new LED head and rear lights design, drivetrain, chassis and infotainment
solutions. The whole new 1.8 TFSI engine, provide even better superiority and
drivability.
Clean and distinctive design evokes youthful glamour
The new Audi A4 design is even cleaner and more distinctive. The upper corners of
the single-frame grille are tapered, and the cross ribs and the Audi rings are
highlighted three-dimensionally. The headlights have also been updated. Their
lower edge forms a subtle wave; their interior has been restructured. With the
optional xenon plus headlights, the LED daytime running lights form an elegant
clasp. Audi also offers the adaptive light system with dynamic cornering light and
static turning light. The bumper with the diffuser insert has been redesigned.
There is a selection of 15 paint finishes, including six new tones. The S line exterior
package is also available.
High-end technology enables better fuel efficiency
Another high-end feature that gives the A4 a special status in its class is the Audi
Drive Select. In the basic package, the driver can switch the characteristic of the
accelerator, the shift points of the automatic transmission, the power steering and
the automatic air conditioning between “Comfort”, “Auto”, “Dynamic” and
“Efficiency” four modes. The chassis of the A4 impresses with its sporty precision,
high ride comfort and outstanding safety. New in the A4, the Electromechanical
Power Steering provides precise road feedback. The system supports the driver
when cornering at the handling limits, if necessary, reducing both oversteer and
under steer by means of load changes. The system conserves as much as 0.3 litres
of fuel per 100 kilometers. Further with the Thermal Management System, Energy
Recuperation System and Start-stop System, fuel consumption levels reduced by

11% on average, and at the same time reduces CO2 emissions.
New 1.8 TSFI engine performs even more sportiness and efficiency
The low weight of the body is the foundation of the ultra-lightweight construction
concept of the A4. The new Audi A4 offered 1.8 TFSI, 2.0TFSI and 3.0 TFSI engine
for customer to choose. The 2.0 TFSI, a born winner that was named “Engine of
the Year” five times in a row from 2005 through 2009, is the mid-range gasoline
engine in the A4 portfolio. Equipped with quattro® and S tronic, delivers maximum
output and torque of 211hp and 350Nm respectively. On the other hand, 3.0 TFSI
delivers maximum output of 272hp and torque of 400Nm.
A new highlight of the TFSI family is the new 1.8-liter engine. This four-cylinder
unit features major innovations in a number of areas: the control of the valves and
their lift, the thermal management concept, the injection system, the
turbocharger and the integration of the exhaust manifold into the cylinder head.
The 1.8 TFSI produces maximum 170hp of output and 320Nm of torque. In the A4
Sedan, it consumes on average just 5.8 liters of fuel per 100 km. Fuel consumption
has been reduced by 18 percent compared with the previous-model engine. With
the excellent fuel efficiency and emission level, A4 1.8 TFSI is qualified as
Environment-friendly Petrol Private Cars and enjoys tax incentives.
Elegant design and stylish interior
The interior of the A4 models is now more elegant than ever, provide even better
atmosphere and roomy environment. Many control elements are framed in narrow
chrome clasps; the steering column stalks and the ignition key have been
redesigned. The new, one-piece fascia of the instrument cluster is
color-coordinated with the interior. Excellent workmanship and tasteful color and
trim selections are a given with Audi. The ergonomics have been painstakingly
fine-tuned. The MMI Navigation Plus infotainment system now has just four
buttons; the volume knob now includes a skip function. Standard with the 6.5”
central display and 7” HD display will be available as an option. And the standard
Audi Music Interface system support USB, iPod and iPhone playback, also include a
Bluetooth interface for hands-free.
The new Audi A4 is now more attractive and evens more sportiness and efficiency.
