Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to share the announcement and Call for Papers for the International Conference:
“Welfare 2.0 - The new Challenges for the European Social Security System” hosted in
partnership between the Research Institute for Labour Law and Labour Economics of the University
of St. Gallen (CH) and the Centro Studi Lavori e Riforme (Research Institute Works and Reforms)
of the University of Modena & Reggio Emilia (IT).
The international conference will take place at the Law Department of the University of Modena,
Italy, October 14, 2016.

Conference themes
We invite proposals for paper presentations and workshops that address the themes listed below:
Theme 1: Self-responsibility and pension schemes: a new role for the worker?;
Theme 2: Acquisition and preservation of supplementary pension rights at European level;
Theme 3: Mobile workers and retirement: new challenges for future retirees?
Submission details:
The paper proposal should be a 500-800 word abstract, which should:
- Synthesise the main issue or research question the paper will deal with;
- Describe the adopted methodology and related sources of information to develop the issues
or the working hypotheses underlying the research;
- Illustrate the most relevant findings as well as the research contribution to current literature.
Selection process:
The deadline for submitting an abstract is July 29, 2016. Abstracts should be sent to:

Papers in English, French and Italian will be accepted.
Authors will receive notice of the acceptance/refusal of their abstracts through email by the
Scientific Committee on August 12, 2016.
Authors of accepted abstracts need to send their complete papers by September 26, 2016 to the
Scientific Committee.

Thèmes du colloque
Nous vous invitons à envoyer vos contributions autour les trois axes de réflexion suivants :
- Thème 1 : responsabilité personnelle du travailleur pour une retraite adéquate : un nouveau
rôle?
- Thème 2 : l’acquisition et la préservation des droits à pension complémentaire au niveau
européenne ;
- Thème 3 : les travailleurs mobiles et la cotisation retraite : nouveaux enjeux dans le future ?
Détaille de contribution :
Les propositions de contributions devraient être entre les 500-800 mots et ils devraient démontrer :
- la synthèse des problèmes ou des questions envisagés avec la contribution ;
- la description de la méthodologie de recherche utilisée et les sources d’information pour
développer les questionnes scientifiques posées ;
- l’illustration des résultats de la recherche et leur place dans la littérature.
Procédure de sélection :
Les contributions sont attendues d’ici le 29 Juliet 2016 et ils devraient être adressé à :

Les contributions peuvent être en français, anglais ou italien.
Le 12 Août le Comité scientifique du colloque informera par mail les auteurs du résultat des
contributions
Les contributions complètes doivent être rendues au Comité scientifique le 26 Septembre 2016.

Temi del Convegno
Il presente avviso è rivolo alla realizzazione di contribuzioni per interventi e workshop che si
terranno in occasione del convegno. Le contribuzioni dovranno riguardare uno dei seguenti temi:
- Tema 1: responsabilità personale e schemi contributivi: il nuovo ruolo del lavoratore verso
un trattamento pensionistico adeguato;
- Tema 2: acquisizione e salvaguardia dei diritti a pensione complementare a livello Europeo;

Tema 3: mobilità dei lavoratori e pensione: nuove sfide per i futuri pensionati?
Dettagli per la partecipazione
Per partecipare è necessario inviare un abstract di 500-800 parole che:
- sintetizzi i principali aspetti e i quesiti posti alla base della ricerca;
- dia conto del tema prescelto, del metodo seguito nonché delle fonti utilizzate;
- illustri i risultati della ricerca e la sua collocazione all’interno dell’attuale panorama dottrinale.
Selezione:
Il termine per l’invio degli abstracts è il 29 luglio 2016. Gli elaborati dovranno essere inviati a:

È possibile la redazione degli abstracts in lingua italiana, inglese o francese.
Il Comitato Scientifico esaminerà gli elaborati e comunicherà via mail il risultato agli autori degli
abstacts il 12 agosto 2016.
Gli autori degli abstracts selezionati sono invitati a trasmettere le contribuzioni definitive entro il 26
settembre 2016 allo stesso indirizzo utilizzato per la procedura di selezione.
