The Italian Army adopted this cartridge in 1874 for their Chamelot
The Italian Army adopted this cartridge in 1874 for their Chamelot-Delvigne revolver and also used it in the Glisenti Model 1889 revolver. The cartridge was originally loaded with a lead projectile and it will be noticed that the early lead bulleted versions are longer than the later full metaljacketed ones and that the case has a pronounced shoulder. Later production had a gradual taper. It was manufactured well into the 1930s. G. Fiocchi was loading the cartridge as late as the 1960s. 10.55 mm 13.2 mm 22.0 mm Full metal jacket with skirt.
