Wir sind noch hier! Mahnwache für und mit Flüchtlingen vom 18.

Als Erinnerung an die auf der Flucht Ertrunkenen und Gestorbenen
Als Zeichen für die Geretteten
Als Symbol für die Möglichkeit von Überleben und Leben
Als Mahnung an uns alle
bauen wir während einer fünftägigen Mahnwache eine Arche. Wer mitbauen und dabei sein
möchte, findet uns hier:

Tausende Menschen haben die Flucht übers Mittelmeer vom afrikanischen Kontinent aus
nach Europa nicht überlebt. Doch auch für diejenigen, die ihr Leben retten konnten, gibt es
nur selten eine Zukunft.
Der Kirchenkreis Berlin Stadtmitte und viele Unterstützer übernehmen Verantwortung für die
Flüchtlinge, denen wir Obdach gegeben haben. Politsch setzten wir uns aber für alle ein.
Deshalb steht die Gruppe von inzwischen mehr als Flüchtlingen, die seit mehreren Monaten
durch Unterstützung des Evangelischen Kirchenkreises Berlin Stadtmitte ein temporäres
Obdach gefunden haben, stellvertretend für all die vielen Hunderte und Tausende, die zwar
überlebt haben, für die sich aber dennoch keine erkennbare Zukunftsperspektive abzeichnet.
Zum Hintergrund:
Ein Großteil der Flüchtlinge, die bei der Evangelischen Kirche in Berlin untergekommen
sind, lebte ursprünglich auf dem Berliner Oranienplatz, einem Protestcamp von Flüchtlingen
und ihren Unterstützer*innen, die für die Änderung des Asylbewerbergesetzes und für eine
Aufenthaltsgenehmigung demonstrierten. Das Camp wurde im April 2014 geräumt. ohne,
dass es eine tragfähige Lösung für die Flüchtlinge durch die Politik erreicht wurde. Im
September 2014 besetzten mehrere Dutzend der inzwischen obdachlos gewordenen
Flüchtlinge die St. Thomas Kirche in KreuzbergSeit dieser Besetzung sieht sich der
Kirchenkreis in der Verantwortung für Menschen, für die alle anderen die Verantwortung
fallen gelassen haben. Wir organisieren und finanzieren in Kooperation mit zahlreichen
Kirchengemeinden aus ganz Berlin, weiteren Unterstützer*innen und mit Hilfe vieler
Spender*innen Notunterkünfte, Verpflegung, Monatskarten, Deutschkurse und medizinische
Versorgung.
Sowohl die Landeskirche als auch Vertreter*innen des Kirchenkreises fordern gemeinsam mit
vielen anderen Initiativen von den Verantwortlichen des Senats endlich eine politische
Lösung für diese Flüchtlinge.
Die Untätigkeit des Senats können wir nicht länger hinnehmen. Die Geduld ist erschöpft!
Die Flüchtlinge und die Evangelische Kirche fordern gemeinsam vom Berliner Innensenat:



Erteilung einer Duldung mit Arbeitserlaubnis zur Statuserklärung und als Chance zur
Integration
Lösungsorientierte Prüfung der Einzelfälle
Beteiligung des Senats an den Kosten für die Unterbringung der Flüchtlinge
Im Gegenzug übernehmen wir weiterhin folgende Verantwortung:



Vermittlung und Organisation von Arbeits- und Integrationsmaßnahmen (Praktika,
Deutschkurse)
Begleitung, Betreuung und rechtliche Beratung
Unterbringung
Auch Ihre Unterstützung ist nötig!

Wir suchen Arbeitsmöglichkeiten und Praktikumsplätze
Paten können zum Beispiel bei der Klärung des Aufenthalts (rechtliche
Begleitung), bei Alltagsfragen und Deutschunterricht (Sprachtandems) helfen
Wir brauchen weiterhin Unterbringungsmöglichkeiten

Survived – and now?
Thousands of people did not survive the flight from the African continent to Europe across the
Mediterranean Sea. But even for those who kept their lives, there is rarely a secure future.
We accept responsibility for those refugees staying with us, but take a political stand for all.
Thus, the more than 100 refugees who have found temporary shelter through the support of
Evangelischer Kirchenkreis Berlin Stadtmitte for a couple of month stand as representatives
for the many hundreds and thousands who did survive, but do not have clear prospects for
their future.
Background:
The majority of refugees who found shelter in the Protestant Church in Berlin first found
accomodation on Oranienplatz, a protest camp made up of of refugees and their supporters.
They demanded an amendment of asylum law and the right to remain. The camp was
voluntarily vacated by the protesters in April 2014. However, the Senat did not honour the
agreements made with the refugees. In September 2014, several dozens of refugees who had
become homeless in the meantime occupied St. Thomas Church in Kreuzberg.
Ever since this occupation, Kirchenkreis Berlin Stadtmitte has taken responsibility for those
refugees, while the Senat of Berlin continues to reject their demands.
In cooporation with numerous parishes from across Berlin, and with the help of many donors
and supporters, we organize and fund emergency accommodation, subsistence, monthly
public transport passes, German classes and base line medical care.
The regional church and the representatives of Kirchenkreis stand with countless other
initiatives to demand a political solution for the refugees from the Senat’s authorities.
We will not accept the Senat’s inaction any longer. Our patience is exhausted. We are at the
end of our tether!
The Refugees and the Protestant Church demand of the Berliner Innensenat:

Grant of a Duldung with work permit for clarification of status and chance of
integration.

Solution-oriented assessment of the individual cases.

Cooperation in covering the costs for subsistence and accommodation for the refugees.
In return, we will continue to provide:

Organisation and facilitation of active integration (internships, German language
classes).

Assistance, companionship and legal advice.

Accommodation.

Nous avons survécu – et maintenant ?
Des milliers de personnes ayant fui le continent africain ont péri lors de leur traversée de la
Mer Méditerranée. Pour les survivants, un avenir en Europe est très rare.
Nous nous occupons de plus d'une centaine de migrants, mais nous nous engageons
politiquement pour tous. Le cercle évangélique de Berlin Mitte offre un abri temporaire à ces
personnes et représente ces milliers de migrants, qui ont certes survécu, mais pour lesquelles
il n'y a en ce moment aucune perspective.
Contexte
Une grande partie des réfugiés dont s'occupe l'église évangélique à Berlin vivait sur
l'Oranienplatz, un camp de protestation construits par les migrants et les personnes les
soutenant. Ils manifestaient pour un changement des Lois sur l'Asile et pour obtenir un permis
de séjour. Suite à un accord avec le Sénat de Berlin, les activistes ont volontairement quitté
cette place, mais l'accord n'a pas été respecté par le sénat. En septembre 2014, l’Église de
Saint- Thomas à Kreuzberg fut occupée par les migrants alors devenus sans-abris. Depuis
cette occupation, le Cercle de l'Eglise de Mitte se sent responsable de ces personnes, car le
Sénat refuse de respecter ses engagements. Nous organisons avec d'autres communautés
religieuses, des associations et des donneurs, des logements provisoires, de la nourriture, des
titres de transports publics, des cours d'allemand et une aide médicale.
L’Église du Land de Berlin, les représentants des Cercles de l'Eglise ainsi que d'autres
organisations exigent que les responsables du Sénat trouvent une solution politique pour ces
réfugiés.
Nous ne pouvons plus accepter l'inactivité du Sénat.
