RON ARAD (1951) N é en 1951, Ron Arad co-fonde avec Caroline Thorman le studio de design et production One Off en 1981 et plus tard, en 1989, Ron Arad Associates architecture and design practice. En 2008, en parallèle à Ron Arad Architects, il fonde Ron Arad Associates. De 1994 à 1999 il établi le Ron Arad Studio, design and production à Côme, en Italie. Il devient Professeur de Design au Royal College of Art de Londres jusqu’en 2009. L’expérimentation constante de Ron Arad sur l’utilisation de matériaux comme l’acier, l’aluminium ou le polyamide, ainsi que sa conception radicale des formes et des structures de mobiliers, l’ont mis au premier rang du design contemporain. En parallèle à son travail de studio en édition limitée, Arad conçoit pour beaucoup de sociétés internationales incluant Kartell, Vitra, Moroso, Fiam, Driade, Alessi, Cappellini, Cassina et Magis.
