Salutations!
PentaCon is back for its twenty-fourth year! Once
again the longest-running convention in Indiana will
run for three exciting days at the newly-renovated
and expanded Grand Wayne Center in downtown
Fort Wayne, Indiana.
We are excited about this year’s convention, and we
know you’ll enjoy yourself. We have a very exciting
new guest, out of the popular dark urban fantasy
genre of books, Kelley Armstrong, the author of the
Women of the Otherworld series. Kelley’s newest
book, Living with the Dead, will be released just prior
to our convention, and PentaCon will be the first book
signing for it!
Many new things are on tap for this year’s convention.
We want you to help make it a resounding success!
This is your personal invitation to attend PentaCon
XXIV. The PentaCon Committee and the members
of the Northeastern Indiana Gaming Association
(NIGA) would like to welcome you to this year’s
convention.
Don’t delay! Pre-registrations for games are
accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Survey
your options, make your decisions, and send in your
Pre-Registration Form.
The PentaCon staff invites you to pre-register for
as many exciting events as you wish and then attend
the finest PentaCon yet.

A Message from the Chairman
My fellow gamers,
The year has passed entirely too quickly, and once
again the best convention you have ever attended
is upon us! What? Oh my goodness...there goes
my hair again!
The Game Masters are now preparing their games.
The Dealers (and we have quite a few of them this
year) are packing their wares. Now, it’s your turn.
Browse the book, make your event selections, and
pre-register for the best PentaCon ever!
Lisa Adams
Chairman, PentaCon XXIV
PentaCon XXIV 4
Convention Dates and
Location
PentaCon XXIV will run on Friday, Saturday, and
Sunday, 7, 8, and 9 November 2008.
The convention is held at the Grand Wayne Center
in downtown Fort Wayne. The address is 120 West
Jefferson Boulevard, Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
A Bit of Background
PentaCon is sponsored by the Northeastern
Indiana Gaming Association (NIGA).
In 1985, five members of the NIGA, acting on
their own, hosted the first PentaCon. It was a
one day affair attended by approximately 250
gamers. These same five individuals (hence
the “PENTA” in PentaCon) continued to host
the next three conventions. In 1989, the NIGA
as a group took sponsorship of PentaCon V.
PentaCon has since grown to offer a wide variety
of game types to meet most gaming interests.
PentaCon X, in 1994, was attended by about 700
gamers and included over 100 individual games,
tournaments, and other events. The continuing
success of PentaCon prompted the NIGA to
expand PentaCon XI to three days. PentaCon
XV was the largest convention to date, with over
1100 gamers participating in 300 events, and
PentaCon XVI broke the event barrier, presenting
over 400 events to its attendees. PentaCon XVII,
for the first time ever, turned game masters away
from their preferred slots to their alternate slots
in order to avoid exceeding the space available.
PentaCon XX in 2004 changed its location for the
first time in many years to allow for the renovation
and expansion of the Grand Wayne Center. Ed
Greenwood and Elminster the Sage returned to
us as a PentaCon favorite in 2008, for PentaCon
XXIII. This year, PentaCon XXIV promises to be
more exciting than ever!
The PentaCon XXIV Committee
The PentaCon staff is composed entirely of
volunteers. Everything you see, enjoy, and do at
the convention is organized and coordinated by
them. Although they grumble quite a bit about
having to do their respective jobs, they really do
enjoy them, and want to put on a good convention
for you.
If you are interested in volunteering to help
with PentaCon, please let us know by email at
[email protected].

Why Pre-Register?
Why pre-register? Simple: you save time, save
money, and greatly increase your chances of being
registered in the games you want.
• Save time now - Read the Pre-Registration
Book at your leisure, fill out the Pre-Registration
Form, and mail it; it’s quick and easy.
• Save time at the convention - You’re interested
in the gaming and the dealers. Pre-Registration
allows you to skip the game registration process
at the convention and get inside quicker.
• Save money - The registration fee at the
door will be $40 for three days. Save $5 by preregistering for $35. Similar discounts apply for
attending fewer days.
• Increase your chances for a game - Game
registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Anyone who pre-registers will be put on the game
lists before all of the at-the-door registrants.

Convention Highlights
Flea Market
Bring your gently used, unwanted gaming items to
be sold in the flea market on Friday and Saturday.
There is no charge to list your items; however, there
is a 15% commission. Check in of items starts at
8 a.m. Friday in the back of the Main Gaming Hall.
You may also submit your item list in advance of the
convention, to [email protected].
Brenna Adams Memorial
The Brenna Adams Memorial returns for its eigth
year at PentaCon. Brenna was the daughter of our
convention chairman, Lisa Adams, and she passed
away on July 15, 2001.
In her honor and memory, the PentaCon staff
decided in 2001 to start a memorial event to be held
in perpetuity. Each year one event will be designated
to be the Brenna Adams Memorial. This year, the
event will be run by Larry Hull, and will be a variety
of fun card games. See event #5108.
Darkus Thel
Indiana’s own premiere roleplaying game returns
to PentaCon this year. If you’ve never played
Darkus Thel before, give it a try! This is an
audience participation game you’ll never forget.
Blue Water Miniatures
Blue Water Miniatures, a new miniatures
manufacturer returning for the second year in
a row, will premier the brand new Darkus Thel
miniatures this year! Stop by their booth and
take a look - the prototypes were absolutely
astounding.
Electronic Entertainment Expo
Returning for its seventh year, the Electronic
Entertainment Expo is open from 12 p.m. to 11:30
p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday. LAN gaming and console gaming will be
featured. Passes for the area are $3 per day, or
$5 per weekend. Bring your Nintendo DS and
WiFi capable games to share with other players!
Computers and networking services graciously
provided by the Anthis Career Center of the Fort
Wayne Community Schools.
Game Base 7
Game Base 7 returns for another year with too
many events to mention here! Check out all their
game offerings.
Game Base 7 is a recognized, nonprofit organization
whose purpose is to promote gaming by providing
gamers with opportunity and promotion of gaming
events nationwide. Having 7 local chapers, and
3 RPG-themed Guilds, GB7 can be seen at major
and regional conventions. Its national HQ provides
its locals with convention support and enhances
contacts with vendors.
Most Game Base 7 programs for conventions are
completely member-driven, meaning that members
determine which events will be run. Those choices
are based on what the gaming community wants
to play and what events will provide enjoyment for
both players and judges alike.
PentaCon XXIV 6
Game Base 7 encourages gamers to let them
know if there is an event they want to see run that
is not listed. If it is not possible to run your desired
event this year, there is a good chance it will happen
at an upcoming convention.
This year, Game Base 7 presents double thematic
events, 2 games in one theme = Double the Fun!
Each will have a person to teach the games.
M Collective
The M Collective is a group of gamers promoting
science fiction gaming. Most of the team has
been running events at GenCon, Origins, and
PentaCon for several years. They return this year
with an exciting variety of sci-fi miniatures games.
All games feature detailed painted miniatures
with events ranging from introductory games to
scenarios. The members of the M Collective are
actively involved in the design and playtesting of
several game systems and miniatures, and as
such, some new systems and miniatures may be
introduced within events.
Filk Singing
Returning for the second year, C.S. Marks, Indiana
author, craftsperson, and filk singer, will join us this
year as a dealer. In addition to running her dealer
booth, she will provide filk singing as entertainment
throughout the convention. What’s filk singing, you
ask? Well, simply put, it’s taking a contemporary
song and putting gaming or medieval type lyrics to
it. The songs are generally hilarious and irreverent,
so stop by when C.S. is singing and give a listen!
Special Guests
This year, the PentaCon staff welcomes Kelley
Armstrong, noted author of the Women of the
Otherworld series, as our special guest.
Kelley Armstrong
Kelley Armstrong is the author of the Women of
the Otherworld urban fantasy series. The series
started with the werewolf novel, Bitten, in 2001
and#8 came out this year, as well as the first
novel in an urban fantasy trilogy for young adults.
Armstrong grew up in Ontario, Canada, where
she still lives with her family. A former computer
programmer, she’s now escaped her corporate
cubicle and hopes never to return. Her website is
www.KelleyArmstrong.com.
Contests
Looking for a little competition where you can win
fun stuff? You’ve come to the right place...
Costumes
The wearing of costumes of all types is encouraged
- in fact, you may see the PentaCon staff in some
fine ones. Of course, we’re not allowed to compete,
but you are! The best costume will be determined
during the evening break on Saturday and Sunday.
Participants are asked to pre-register for the
contest at Convention Headquarters. Judges will
be announce in the On Site Guide. There will
be two categories this year: Adult (age 14 and
older); and Juvenile (age 13 and younger). Each
category winner will receive a prize selected by the
convention staff; the overall best costume each day
will receive free admission to PentaCon XXV.
Painted Figure Contest
This year’s painted figure contest will be judged by
the formidable John Goff, a master painter in his own
right. John has won a multitude of awards; among
the most prestigious are “Best of Show - GenCon
XVI” and “Best of Show - Elwood Miniatures and
More”. We have it on reliable authority that John’s
ability to paint miniatures “makes them come alive”.
Entry forms for the contest will be available at
Convention Headquarters. No pre-registration is
necessary. The following rules will apply:
• Entries must be the original work of the
entrant.
• Entries must be placed in competition no later
than 12:00 noon, Saturday. Judging will begin soon
thereafter. Miniatures will remain on display until
6:30 p.m. Saturday, unless needed for a game.
• Work will be graded solely on the personal
preference of the judge.
• The miniatures will be divided into categories.
The specific categories will be determined by the
convention staff based on the figures submitted.
• One winner will be selected in each of the
categories. No awards will be made for categories
with less than three entries.
Paint ‘N Take
This year, PentaCon will have its third Paint ‘N
Take booth! Stop by the booth (located next to
Convention HQ), choose a miniature, and sit down
to paint. The booth will be open during the first slot
of each day of the convention.
PentaCon XXIV 7
Charity Efforts
Fort Wayne Inn
PentaCon is very proud of its efforts to raise funds
for charity. Each year, PentaCon conducts various
charity events. And, each year, the participants
at PentaCon prove their generosity by constantly
increasing the amount of money which goes to the
selected charities.
This year, the selected charity is again the Three
Rivers Literacy Alliance.
The Downtown Hilton has graciously contracted
with PentaCon this year to provide our attendees
with comfortable rooms at reasonable rates. The
quoted rate this year is $99 per night. The hotel is
located at 1020 South Calhoun St., Fort Wayne,
IN 46802 (about two blocks from the convention
center). The phone number to call for reservations
is 260-420-1100. Make sure you mention
PentaCon to get the discounted rate. The cutoff
date is October 21, 2008.
Coin Drop
Parking
PentaCon is very well aware of the economic
challenges facing the world these days, and realize
that for many, money is extremely tight, but we
wanted to again support our favorite charity. This
year, we will be holding a coin drop. Loose change
can be dropped into jars at Convention HQ for
donation to the Three Rivers Literacy Alliance.
A public parking garage is located across the
street from the Grand Wayne Center. The garage
is connected to the Center by a skywalk. This
provides convenient, easy, and safe access for
convention attendees. It is the recommended
parking location.
Parking lots for various businesses are located
near the Grand Wayne Center. These lots
should not be used by convention attendees.
These businesses are experienced in handling
conventions and will happily tow violators.
Miscellaneous Events
Electronic Entertainment Expo
For the sixth year in a row, a room has been set
aside for computer network gaming, TV gaming,
and movie viewing (schedule will be in the On-Site
Guide). The Expo will be open starting at 8 a.m.
each day and will close at 11:30 p.m. on Friday
and Saturday nights, and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday
night. Passes for the area are $3 per day, or $5
for the entire weekend. Bring your Nintendo DS
and WiFi-enabled games and trade with your fellow
players!
PentaCon has partnered this year with the Anthis
Career Center from the Fort Wayne Community
Schools to offer this room. We are very grateful
for the assistance that these students are so
generously providing.
Lodging & Parking
Discount Lodging
This year, the preferred hotel for PentaCon is the
Downtown Hilton.
Please note that the Downtown Hilton has a
reservation cut-off date. Reservations received
after the indicated date may be charged a higher
rate. Be sure to make your reservations before
the cut-off date to take full advantage of the
discounts.
Convention Regulations
Passes
All attendees at the convention will be issued
a non-refundable convention Pass. The pass
must be visibly displayed at all times while at the
convention. Lost passes must be replaced at full
entrance cost.
General Conduct
Stealing, cheating, law breaking, obscene
language, or a failure to conduct oneself in a
reasonably proper manner will all be grounds for
immediate removal from the convention, without
a refund.
Alcohol
Alcohol and alcoholic beverages are not permitted
at the convention.
Tobacco Products
No smoking is permitted in the Grand Wayne
Center. A designated smoking area is provided
just outside the convention center.
Children
PentaCon warmly welcomes children under the
age of 18 to the convention. However, parents are
responsible for supervision of their children at all
times. Neither the PentaCon staff nor the NIGA
PentaCon XXIV 8
are responsible for children left unattended at the
convention.
A Thanks to the GM’s
Before listing the games offered at the convention,
the convention committee and specifically the
Games Coordinator would like to take a moment
to offer a special “Thank You” to all of the Game
Masters. Although the committee organizes the
convention, it is the efforts of the Game Masters that
makes the convention a success. At PentaCon,
Game Masters are only rewarded by free or
discounted attendance at the convention. This
does not necessarily make up for the hard work
many Game Masters undertake to prepare their
games. The convention committee appreciates
this effort and is thankful for it. The committee also
asks that all players remember to thank their Game
Master after each game.
Special Events & Seminars
A typical seminar involves a short talk by the
presenter to cover the topic. The floor will then be
opened for questions from the audience.
Booksigning - Kelley Armstrong
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, there will be
a special booksigning of Living with the Dead,
Kelley’s newest hardcover from Bantam Spectra
Books, which will be released on November 1.
Seminar A - Kelley Armstrong
(Topic To Be Announced) Join the wildly popular
author of the Women of the Otherworld series!
This seminar will be held starting at 1:00 p.m. on
Saturday in the seminar area in the back corner of
the Main Gaming Hall.
Seminar B - C.S. Marks
C.S. Marks has often been described as a
“Renaissance woman”. By day a Professor of
Equine Science at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods
College, by night a fantasy author and filker, she
is probably best known in fantasy and gaming
circles as the author of the Elfhunter trilogy.
She enjoys composing and singing silly songs
(mostly with a Lord of the Rings theme), making
handcrafted longbows (and shooting them), riding
her assortment of horses, and promoting her three
novels. Come join C.S. for a fun-filled hour of
filking and discussion about how to break into the
writing industry. This seminar will be at 1:00 p.m.
on Sunday in the seminar area.
Event Descriptions
Event Descriptions
The event descriptions are divided by game
sessions. The following information is provided
for each game: Event Number, Game Type, Skill
Level, Game Title, Game Master, Knowledge (Kn),
Players (Pl), and Description. Event numbers
identify each event or game individually. The
first digit indicates the session, and the last three
numbers indicate the table number. Events 100 499 will be held in the Main Gaming Hall. Events
500 - 599 will be in Harrison A.
Games which continue from one session to
another are marked with the letter “C” following
the event number (ex. 4101C 5101). Tournament
games are marked with the letter T at the end
of the event number (ex. 7136T). Any special
session requirements for a game are listed in the
description. Please note these instructions carefully
when filling out the Pre-Registration form.
The column labeled “Kn” indicates the level of
knowledge expected of the players. “N”, or Novice,
means the game should be easy to learn and/or
the rules will be taught. “I”, or Intermediate, means
the player needs to know the basics of the game.
“S”, or Skilled, means the player must know the
rules well.
The column labeled “Pl” indicates the number of
players allwed in the game. Games which have a
lower number of players will obviously fill up more
quickly, so be sure to list a second choice for those
games.
Additional events, plus open games, may be
added to the event list prior to the date of the
convention. Be sure to pick up an On-Site Guide
at the convention.
Please note that all games at the convention
are offered by the respective game masters. The
convention staff cannot guarantee that any given
game will be presented as listed.

By Matthew Domville. Off the coast of La Florida, the waters have always seemed warm

comfort often comes immediately before betrayal. Someone thirsts for revenge, so there

It is the annual Arklay Mountain Militia “October Call-Out”; a time for a long weekend in
the low rolling Arklay Mountains of Militia exercises, camping, and fellowship. However,
this year it is different. There have been a number of attacks on these mountains and
the local authorities do not have the manpower or time to do a “sweep” of the area. In a
rare display of trust, Raccoon City’s Police Chief has asked the Arklay Mountains Militia
to sweep this area during their annual Call-Out as a “pubic service”. Most of the militia is
distrustful of the Chief's motives and are unwilling to fall into this trap, whatever it may be.
So, a lone squad of militia has been chosen to go up the mountain to see what can be
found there. Early on Friday September 29 the Arklay Mountains Militia‘s “Forlorn Hope”
headed up the mountains.

A game of Knights and Kabalists, and much more! This is a diceless game.

outrage threatens the stability of both nations. You and your fellow Pathfinders are sent to
capture the Fang before the Inner Sea is pitched into political frenzy.
Come enjoy some loosely linked, home brewed, and likely screwball scenarios, while
savoring a light and undemanding boardgame with hints of roleplaying. Some home rules
in use. New players are VERY welcome!
By David Samuels. Reports are coming in of people in the city being attacked for no

do what the Diamond Legion can't and catch those responsible. A one-round module for
character levels 1-11.
After a year in a magical coma, it is clear that Bishop Haufren is dying. One desperate
quest into a lair of forgotten evil may be enough to save him, but the secrets unearthed

level 4-14 (APLs 6-12).

once and for all. A one-round module for character levels 1-13.
Shannus of Glory seeks adventurers willing to prove that his violent actions in the past

the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his
soul? - Mark 8:36-37. An adventure for Tier 1 and Tier 2 characters.
Hard Point 1, year 2 by Carrie and Lucas Amodio. It's springtime in Paldaris, when

Event Description
A mixed group of Mountain Dwarves and High Elves are hiring a group of humans (Player
Characters) to aid them in a quest into the Darkness that is known as “Caldara”: Lands
of the Lich King. The hirelings must complete certain tasks that only a human can do
under the laws of the Lich’s kingdom. The main quest is to recover powerful artifacts that
were lost in “The GODS WAR” 250 years ago, and deal with the multitudes of “walking
dead” and monsters that infest the ancient battlegrounds. Then take the items to the
Hall of the Lich King and bargain with the Lich’s servant to send the items back with the
Dwarves and Elves to their native homelands.

want to miss!

Updated rules and miniatures. No experience needed. This is an M Collective event.
Dr. Richard Malcolm, a renowned entomologist, sent out what sounded like a desperate
plea yesterday afternoon from his research laboratory in Brazil, South America. All
that was received was a garbled message saying "they're out". BIOTECH has been
funding Malcolm’s experiments and has asked that your team go in to rescue him and
his research. They will not say much more, only that it can solve the world’s food supply
problem.
Battlestar Pegasus have found Earth! Unfortunately for Admiral Adama and Commander
Adama, Earth is already under attack by forces unknown to the Colonials. What are they
going to do now that they are here, AND being pursued by a Cylon fleet? Check out the
next Chapter in the BladeRunner-Press saga of Crossover events in the Enemy Engaged
system in this original event.
A powerful source of magical energy has been discovered deep within the volcanic Mt.
Zalthier. Both of the warring Brother-Kings of Einar want this power to defeat their sibling
and take the throne of Einar, but can they get past each other as well as the deadly
guardians of Mt. Zalthier's Crystal of Elune.
This annual event is dedicated to the memory of Brenna Adams, daughter of our
convention chairperson Lisa Adams. This year we will play a variety of short card games
such as Fluxx, Aquarius, Pepper, etc. Points will be scored by how you place in each
game, with the victor being determined by totaling up those points! Exactly how many
rounds are played will be determined by how many players participate. The winner's
name will be added to the plaque which is displayed at PentaCon every year.
Well race fans, it's another beautiful day at Circus Tonitureus. The chariots are polished
and the beasts are groomed. Come and join the excitement as a driver. Let everyone see
if you have the courage and foolhardiness to compete for a place in the championship
race. First and second place advance to the championship on Sunday morning (session
7). Please no players under 13. Sponsored by Flattop Dave's and Books Comics &
Things.
Your unit has just put down the last of the resistance in this desert outpost and you are
all waiting for the support units to arrive. The com channels fall silent as an eerie calm
comes over you and the other members of your lance. There is unfinished business. You
switch the safety off and take aim...
"I have had ENOUGH of these zombies! This makes three years in a row! Well, I'm ready
this time. I know where it all started and I have this book of magic." That's right, fellow
zombi-philes, this year we take the fight to the zombies! Follow me into the woods and
never mind that weird barking. Zombie dogs are just in Resident Evil, right?
Event Description
Federal Government Superfund Money? What money? All we got is more dirt here in
the trailer park. Everyone knows they stored stuff in the old mine. Big deal! My old lady
still has to work at the Dairy Queen downtown. They shouldn't be messing with the

this morning to look inside the mine. Here they come out now! Not good....

Exodus is a Post Apocalyptic d20 OGL setting, set in 2042, 30 years after the War on
Terror escalated into man’s destruction forcing an Exodus into underground bunkers and
fallout shelters. The Exodus setting is best described as a post-apocalyptic comedy, using
classic post-apocalyptic settings from 1970's B-movies with current and past events, as
well as light-hearted comedy in the form of parodies. The Exodus OPS adventure archive
will be available as Open Play for PentaCon 2008. All OPS campaign material needed to

ARCANIS STANDARD adventure is designed for 2 to 10 level characters (APL 2-11).
Characters not within this level range may not be played in this scenario.
Event Description
Early on Friday September 29 the Arklay Mountains Militia‘s “Forlorn Hope”
headed up the mountains.

well as light-hearted comedy in the form of parodies. The Exodus OPS adventure archive
will be available as Open Play for PentaCon 2008. All OPS campaign material needed to
play, and adventure descriptions, can be found at www.gluttoncreeper.com.
By Jay Fisher. It wasn't until five years ago that Amthydor was blissfully ignorant of
demon activity. But since then, (and increasingly so) demon activity has been on the
rise... with much concern from both the Diamond Legion and the Shrine of Dymora. Now
it is up to you to discover why the demon incursions are occurring and to put a stop to it
once and for all. A one-round module for character levels 1-13.
This is part three of the Wicked Harvest trilogy.
Event Description
The greatest gift for the mighty is time, and Lady Sellay needs some enchanting time.
So, you promised a few weeks of keep sitting. After all, what could possibly happen to a
keep? 12th to 14th level characters provided.

The project was simple. Take criminals convicted for life, implant psychological control
cyberware, and employ them as disposable tools for whatever dirty work is required.
What happens when the tools decide not to come back? A Nature of Darkness event.
The dungeon crawl that rules them all! Adventurers everywhere have heard of the
Grande Temple of Jing, the temple home of a trickster god. Both holy shrine and
deathtrap dungeon, wealth and magic abound for those skilled enough to walk it's halls,
and find their way out. This is an epic dungeoncrawl with miniatures and 3D dungeons.
The game runs continuously on Saturday, but you may register for each session that day
independantly. Please bring dice and Player's Handbooks if you have them!
Shadows run in your family, and that means old debts need to be settled. Your father left
you many things, but the last thing you expected was a call from the Draco Foundation. A
Nature of Darkness event.

Information has been received on the location of an imprisoned member of the
Fellowship. A rescue mission has been mounted and your group will act as logistical
support, but will it remain so? (While it is not necessary, heroes planning on pursuing the
Knight prestige class are encouraged to play. As a warning, minor spoilers are included
for those who have not played modules A103, A106, and A107). A D20 event designed for
any-level characters set in the Fellowship of the White Star campaign of Earth, 1905.
An annual Sunday Morning Event returns. Be the Grand Rail Magnate by buying up great
U.S. Railroad companies of yore. Then speed across the country making deliveries and
of course - getting the cash. The better to buy those prize railroads right from under those
other upstart Rail Magnates so they can pay you to deliver their cargoes. Last one back
to the home city with 250k in cash is: Well, the loser the Federal Gov't has to bail out.
Can we say - ConRail.
Play the famous Railroad Tycoon game on the European board expansion. A good
challenge to corporate gamblers - the margin is closer from Riches to Ruin.
Take command of steam driven automotons and bash your opponents into submission.
You will be teamed up with two other players as you send your battle group across
professionally produced terrain. Rules will be taught and miniatures will be provided.
Everyone selects their mechs and teams are determined randomly by die roll, evens at
one end, odds at the other. The teams then battle until there is only one player left. But
there is a catch, you will never know who to trust. Your ally from one round may be the
enemy the next. All miniatures, record sheets and supplies provided. This game uses the
3-D rules and terrain.
Event Description
The 32nd (Red Arrow) Infantry Division, which drew citizen soldiers from several Great
Lakes states, waged a war of attrition against elite Japanese troops in jungle swamps
and coconut plantations on the north coast of New Guinea. Can Australian tanks and
infantry make a difference as the Americans try to drive the entrenched Japanese from a
pair of airfields?

Rules taught in preceding session if needed! Swatting Mayflies with Sledgehammers,
Manties, Peeps, and Andermani forces have stumbled across one of the Silesian
Liberation Squadrons! With no formal coordination between them, they have to stop the
Sillies from scattering to the winds and spreading dissention. Make sure that your ship
takes the least damage and don’t cause a war by destroying the non-Silesian ships.
Scuffing their paint or rearranging their room contents is permitted of course. Everything
is provided.
Lord Corysor is missing an object that while not of particular value is precious to his
sister. He suspects it has been stolen and hidden in the Keep. A party of adventurers is
needed to find the object.
A game of Knights and Kabalists, and much more! This is a diceless game.
This isn't your Daddy's Clue. Rooms and weapons are different, and the characters have
histories that can allow for role-playing. The biggest change of all? If too much time is
taken identifying the murderer, he or she will strike again. And the next victim could be
YOU!
For new and established characters. Just what was that noise last night? Learn about
Hidden Fort Wayne and make sure to lock all your doors and windows. 1000 Ep to all
players in costume or with a very good story!
The judge will have the current 20 campaign modules set in the year 1905 with them and
will pick one that the players agree to. If a premiere is available, it will be offered first.
Pregens will be available for new players.
This event allows just about any book that requires D&D. The players will investigate
my world, making powerful characters using books by WOTC, Mongoose, Green Ronin,
AEG and others. Forgotten Realms, Eberron, & other campaign settings allowed. If I don't
own the book, bring the book or bring copies for character approval. We will be limited
to the books brought to the convention. This campaign will continue at PentaCon 2009.
The players will start at 5th level using the ability scores of their race, or numbers 13-18
with the Wealth for Level chart from DMG 3.5. The campaign will start in your hometown
village just before it comes under attack by demons. There are rifts on my world that may
take your character to Eberron or other Campaign setting worlds. This is a power game,
because I am allowing so many books for character creation. I will not allow mature
books if anyone plays under age 18. If people want to join session 2 (and there are open
seats), I can approve characters during session break. Any questions e-mail brandtp23@
yahoo.com. This event continues in slot 9.
Many are famaliar with the game Goa. How about not being so abstract? Batavia trade throughout the Indian Ocean for the spices of the East. Then cozy down with the
corporate expertise for a round of GOA.
Been there, done that, got the tee-shirt? Well come on back for another helping of
hilbilly goodness. Join up as a member of an intergalactic scouting crew to nab the local
population for “study”. But beware, them thar’ humans can be a might unpredictable! Two
games per session, sense of humor required!
WWII naval miniatures 1/700 scale. Come and see how this classic game still plays well!
The exact battle will be determined by the number of players and their experience. Have
some fun crawling around on the floor for a few hours.
Event Description
Clan Ghost Bear's ultimate warship is the prize, if anyone can stop it! Units of warships
