Featured Wines
The featured wines exemplify our wine philosophy – the wines are made by
uncompromising vintners who endeavor to preserve the varietal characteristics while
producing wines that are unique expressions of the terroir. They are exceptional in
character, and pair exquisitely with our entrees.
Petaluma “Hanlin Hill Clare Valley Riesling”, Australia, 2006
44(11)
This definitely ranks among the best “dry” Rieslings that we have tasted. This can compete with some
of the top notch German Rieslings. A poignant wine that is abundant in fruit with great minerality,
acidity, and a long finish. Pair with our pasta, mussels, crab cakes, and trout.
Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough, New Zealand, 2009
45(11)
Classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc that has herbal notes, great acidity, and lovely finish.
King Estate Acrobat Pinot Noir, Orgon, 2008
48(12)
A quintessential Oregon Pinot that is bright, elegant, and nicely balanced with a great finish.
Château de Pennautier Bordeaux/Rhone blend Cabardès, France 2008
36(9)
Bordeaux meets Southern Rhone, in this classic blend of Bordeaux varietals with those of Southern
Rhone! This has great structure, earthy, gamey, nice acidity, and dark fruit. Pair with duck, steak, or
lamb.
Moroder Rosso Connero Montepulciano, Marches, Italy 2007
48(12)
An organic small production wine, from a picturesque village on the Adriatic coast, this wine would
surely excite the palette of the wine connoisseur. With close to two years of aging, the wine is complex,
gamey, beautifully structured, and an amazing food wine!
Exclusive Wines from One Twenty Six Cellar:
Alexander Valley Vineyards Pinot Noir, Alexander Valley, 2006
58
A classic, that is Burgundian in style. It has plenty of fruit, a hint of earth, great acidity, structure, and
a delightful finish.
Torres Mas La Plana “Black Label” Cabernet Sauvignon, Penedes, Spain 2001 120
Produced in very limited quantities by one of top wineries in Spain, the Mas La Plana vineyard is
considered to produce one of the best cabernets that ranks with the best Bordeauxs and California
Cabernets. Complex, intense, and amazingly structured, this wine exhibits lovely fruit, leather, truffles,
and hints of spices and coffee. Enjoy this wine that has been cellared and served with the utmost care.
