Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Prescribed use
Der Bluetooth-Adapter ist zum Anschluss an einen USB-Port eines PCs (oder eines
USB-Hubs, der an den PC angesteckt ist) vorgesehen und dient dort zur Herstellung
einer Funkverbindung mit anderen dazu geeigneten Bluetooth-Geräten.
The Bluetooth adapter is provided for connection to a USB-Port of a PC (or a USBHub which is plugged to the PC) and is used there for establishing a radio connection with other Bluetooth devices serving the purpose.

How to install the driver and software
Stecken Sie den USB-Bluetooth-Adapter noch nicht an!
Do not plug in the USB Bluetooth adapter yet.
Legen Sie die mitgelieferte CD in das entsprechende Laufwerk Ihres PCs ein. Falls
das Installationsprogramm nicht automatisch startet, so führen Sie das Programm
"Setup.exe" im Verzeichnis im Verzeichnis "Class II Driver" aus.
Die Software fordert Sie während des Installationsvorgangs dazu auf, den USBBluetooth-Adapter an einen USB-Port des PCs anzustecken.
Windows erkennt danach die angesteckte Hardware automatisch, der zugehörige
Treiber wird installiert.
Klicken Sie danach auf "Detect" und setzen Sie die Installation fort.
Am Ende der Installation ist ein Neustart von Windows erforderlich.
Insert the CD which is comprised into the appropriate disk drive of your PC. If the
installation program does not start up automatically run the "Setup.exe" program
in the folder "Class II driver".
During the installation procedure, the software will tell you to plug the USB Bluetooth
adapter to a USB port of the PC.
Windows will then identify the plugged-in hardware automatically, the respective
driver will be installed.
Then, click "Detect" a continue the installation.
Windows requires to be started anew at the end of installation.
Die oben beschriebene Vorgehensweise kann sich bei neueren Versionen der
CD evtl. ändern.
The above-described approach can possibly vary for more recent versions of
the CD.
Tipps & Hinweise
Suggestions & recommendations
• Unter DOS oder im abgesicherten Modus von Windows funktioniert USB nicht
(oder nur eingeschränkt für USB-Tastatur/-Maus). Der USB-Bluetooth-Adapter
kann hier nicht betrieben werden.
• Die angegebene Reichweite von bis zu 10m ist die Freifeldreichweite, d. h., die
Reichweite bei Sichtkontakt zwischen Sender und Empfänger (ein Bluetooth-Gerät
zum anderen). Im praktischen Betrieb befinden sich jedoch Wände,
Zimmerdecken usw. zwischen Sender und Empfänger, wodurch sich die
Reichweite entsprechend reduziert.
Weitere Ursachen für verminderte Reichweiten:
- Hochfrequenzstörungen aller Art
- Bebauung jeglicher Art und Vegetation
- Leitende Metallteile, die sich im Nahbereich der Geräte bzw. innerhalb oder nahe
der Funkstrecke befinden, z.B. Heizkörper, metallisierte Isolierglasfenster,
Stahlbetondecken usw.
- Beeinflussung der Strahlungscharakteristik der Antennen durch den Abstand
von Sender oder Empfänger zu leitenden Flächen oder Gegenständen (auch zum
menschlichen Körper oder Boden)
- Breitbandstörungen in städtischen Gebieten, die den Signal-Rauschabstand verkleinern; das Signal wird in diesem "Rauschen" nicht mehr erkannt
- Einstrahlung von mangelhaft abgeschirmten elektronischen Geräten, z.B. offen
betriebene Computer o.ä.
• Ob zwei Bluetooth-Geräte miteinander Daten austauschen können, ist abhängig
vom Gerät und der jeweiligen Software (z.B. von USB-Bluetooth-Adapter und
Bluetooth-fähigem Mobiltelefon).
• The USB will not function (or will only function with restriction for the USNB keyboard/mouse) under DOS or the protected mode of Windows. The USB-Bluetooth
adapter cannot be operated here.
• The indicated range of transmission which is up to 10 m is the field range of action,
i.e. the range of action if there is a contact of vision between the transmitter and
receiver (from one Bluetooth device to another). When used in practice, however,
there are walls, room ceilings, etc. between the transmitter and receiver, which
causes a reduction in this range accordingly.
More causes of a reduced range of transmission are:
- High-frequency disturbances of any type
- Buildings and structures of any type, and vegetation
- Conducting metallic components which are located in a range close to the
devices or within or close to the radio link, e.g. heaters, metallized insulating
glass windows, reinforced-concrete ceilings, etc.
- Effects acting on the radiation characteristics of the aerials by the distance of the
transmitter or receiver from conducting surfaces or objects (also from the human
body or ground)
- Wide-band interference in urban areas which reduce the signal-to-noise ratio;
the signal will no longer be recognized within this "noise"
- Irradiation of deficiently shielded electronic devices, e.g. open-operated computers or the likeLeitende
• It will be contingent on the device and the software concerned (e.g. of the USB
Bluetooth adapter and a Bluetooth operable mobile telephone) whether two
Bluetooth devices may exchange data with each other.

Restrictions d’utilisation
L’adaptateur Bluetooth est prévu pour être connecté à un port USB d’un ordinateur
PC (ou d’un USB hub connecté au PC) et y sert à la création d’une liaison audio avec
d’autres appareils Bluetooth appropriés.

Installation du pilote et du logiciel
Ne connectez pas encore l’adaptateur USB-Bluetooth !
Placez le CD fourni dans le lecteur de disquette correspondant de votre PC. Au cas
où le programme d’installation ne commence pas automatiquement, démarrez alors
le programme "Setup.exe" du CD ("Class II driver").
Le logiciel exige, pendant le processus d’installation, que vous connectiez l’adaptateur USB Bluetooth à un port USB du PC.
Windows reconnaît ensuite automatiquement le logiciel connecté, le pilote correspondant est installé.
Cliquez ensuite sur "Detect" et continuez l’installation.
Une fois l’installation terminée, un redémarrage de Windows est nécessaire.
La manière de procéder décrite ci-dessus pourrait éventuellement changer
pour les versions plus récentes du CD pilote.
Trucs et astuces
• DOS ou le mode de sauvegarde de Windows ne permettent pas le fonctionnement
USB (exception clavier/souris USB). Ici, l’adaptateur USB Bluetooth ne peut pas
être mis en service.
• La portée indiquée de jusqu’à 10m est la portée champ libre, c’est à dire, la portée par contact visuel entre émetteur et récepteur (un appareil Bluetooth à un autre). Lors de la mise en service, toutefois, des murs, plafonds, etc. se trouvent entre émetteur et récepteur, ce qui, en conséquence, réduit la portée.
Causes supplémentaires pour une portée réduite:
- Des interférences de toutes sortes.
- Des constructions de toutes sortes et de la végétation
- Des métaux conducteurs qui se trouvent à proximité des appareils, ou bien dans
ou à proximité de la ligne radio, tels radiateurs, fenêtres isolantes métalisées,
plafonds en béton armé etc.
- Influence de la caractéristique de rayonnement des antennes à cause de la distance séparant émetteur ou récepteur des surfaces ou des objets conducteurs
(de même que du corps humain ou du sol)
- Brouillages par barrage de fréquence en zones urbaines qui diminuent le rapport
signal sur bruit. Ce dernier n’est plus reconnu dans ce « bruit parasitaire ».
- Irradiation provenant d’appareils électroniques inadéquatement isolés, par
exemple, des ordinateurs mis en service ouverts ou similaires
• Pour que deux appareils Bluetooth puissent échanger des données, dépend de
l’appareil et du logiciel correspondant (par ex.adaptateur USB Bluetooth et téléphone portable Bluetooth compatible).
