Festival Architettura in Città Architecture en Ville, Torino 30 Juin – 4 Juillet 2015
La Città Nuda La Ville Nue, suite au succes de l’édition 2014, présente un nouveau concours international de
photographie où les limites deviennent les protagonistes. Cette édition du contest, soignée par les Architectes Giulia
Desogus, Valerio Fogliati et Ambra Seghesio, se déroulera dans le contexte du Festival Architettura in Città
Architecture en Ville (Torino, 30 Juin – 4 Juillet 2015, organisé par la Fondazione OAT) dont le titre sera S-confinamenti
Hors des limites.
Comme le Limes romain avait le double sense de ligne de frontière et de route de conquète et comunication, aussi le
contest vise à raconter la double valence des modernes frontières architectoniques, urbaines et territorielles, et leur
rapport à l’Homme.
Ces barrières pourront être montrées à travers l’interpretation subjective de l’Auteur, positive ou negative, de la frontière
même ou de ses traces sur le territoire. Les photographies pourront capturer l’essence des Intérieurs et des Extérieurs
génerés de la compartimentation des espaces et des réalités, ou bien pourront se concentrer sur les “espaces entre” ces
lieus résiduels vides, riches d’histoires et situés exactement sur la frontière entre différents mondes.
L’objectif du concours est de racconter realités alternatives liées à l’Architecture, en permettant au plus vaste publique de
s’approcher à ces thèmes. La photographie est le moyen expressif choisi au travers duquel partager les emotions et les
histoires nées de la relation quotidienne entre l’Homme et l’Architecture.

Guidelines:
How to participate:
Participation is free; every architect, student and professional or amateur photographer, without age limits can participate.
It is possible to participate only as an individual and not in a group.
The participant has to send an email to [email protected] with a maximum of three pictures.
For every image you have to specify:
1 Number of pictures
2 Image’s title
3 Author’s name and the surname
(Ex. 01_Title_Name Surname, 02_Title_Name Surname, 03_Title_Name Surname)
A short description (ten lines maximum) about the picture and the photographic project has to be attached.
The jury will select the most representative pictures and the winner.
Every selected picture will be exposed to a public exhibit in Turin at the Festival Architettura in Città Architecture in the
City from June 30 to July 4 and they can be published online.
The author will print the pictures considered appropriate and will send them to an address that will be communicated at a
later stage, while the promoters will print the winning picture
The images must have the following features:
1 The pictures can be full-colour or black/white and in digital or analog format. The digital images must be sent by email in
.jpg format, while those in analog must be scanned and sent by email
2 The pictures must be made especially for this contest. All the presented images must be in any case unreleased
3 Digital postproduction is permitted
4 The images must be rectangular shape
5 Every picture sent by email musn’t be larger than 5 MG
6 The participants must be the pictures' authors
7 The selected authors, except the winner, should print their works (if they want to expose them)
The jury's evaluations will follow these parameters:
1 Congruence with the proposed theme
2 Artistic and photographic quality
3 Message’s originality and creativity
The jury reserves the right to refuse images not considered adequate, and will not allow pictures with contents against the
public decency, pictures that express violence, racism, homophobia, or pictures not resulting congruent with the proposed
subject and considered offensive or detrimental for the right of the illustrated subjects.
The verdict of the jury will be unquestionable and irrevocable.
Originality and copyrights
The copyrights and the intellectual ownership of the sent works remain property of the participant, who takes charge of the
contents of the picture.
The promoters of the contest reserve themselves the right to utilize the sent pictures to advertise the event, by printing
and publishing on the web, without the necessity to warn the author.
The verdict of the jury will be unquestionable.
At the end of the exhibit all the works will remain in possession of the organization that could use them for future shows
upon notice to the authors.
Participation in the contest involves the acceptance of this guideline

The contest deadline is 31 of May 2015.
The classification will be published after the closing of the contest on the official website www.lacittanuda.it and on the
official Facebook page facebook.com/lacittanuda. Furthermore, the promoters will directly contact the selected authors.
The photo exhibition will be part of the Festival Architettura in Città Architecture in the City 30.06 - 4.07.2015 in
Turin.
