I IMAGES NUMÉRIQUES ET VIDEO DIGITAL IMAGES AND VIDEO The goals according to the applications of the IMAGES group are : L e s objectifs du thème IMAGES en terme d’applications sont : PPixel-based encoding of images and video : MPEG, JPEG2000, Bit Allocation, Wavelet lifting filter design, Scan based coding , Vector quantization , Multiple Description Coding. PImage and video decoding : MJPEG, MPEG2 : Optimal video decoding, Simultaneous decoding and deconvolution. PObject-based encoding of images and video : object-based Video Coding ( MPEG4), Active contours-based segmentation, Region-based approach, Indexing (MPEG7). M PCompression et codage d’images et vidéo basées pixel : MPEG, JPEG2000, optimisation débit-distorsion, Conception de filtres ondelettes, Transformée en ondelettes au fil de l’eau, quantification vectorielle, codage à description multiple. PMedical imaging : 3D Image reconstruction, Dynamic cardiac imaging (3D reconstruction, 3D+T segmentation). PExtract relevant information : for scene interpretation form satellite or aerial data: network detection (roads...), classification, urban areas detection... PTake into account the physics of the problem according to several sensor : optical in monospectral, multi- and hyperspectral, radar, infra-red sensors. A G PDécodage image et vidéo optimal : MJPEG, MPEG2 : décodage et déconvolution conjoints . PCodage image et vidéo orienté objet (MPEG4), Segmentation par contours actifs basés régions, Indexation (MPEG7). PReconstruct 3D data : (DEM) from 2D images. PUp-date maps. For these applications, we develop adapted mathematical tools : wavelet transform (real and complex), functional minimization and PDE resolution, and in the stochastic approach Markov random fields and models from probabilistic geometry. We have lot of collaborations with industries (CNES, IGN, BRGM, DGA, Alcatel, FT PImagerie médicale : reconstruction 3D , Imagerie carR&D, LEP Philipps, Thomson, Astrium, diaque dynamique 3D +t ( Segmentation et estimation de Sagem) as well as with french research mouvement). groups (IRISA, IRESTE, LIS, CREATIS, ENST, UNSA, IRIT) and foreign PExtraction d’informations pertinentes pour l’interpretation groups (Stanford (USA), College d’images satellitaires ou aériennes: détection de réseaux (routiers...), Park (USA), Boston (USA), classification, détection des zones urbaines...
